Well, he's obviously physically and emotionally fitter than Fed. He makes Fed cry like a baby. I suppose that's all we need to know for the purposes of this discussion.

You don't cry like a baby, big man! You tell these guys whos boss, show them how tough you are, by not crying

a couple of the other guys on that page are ADEWALE AKINNUOYE-AGBAJE and Hugh Jackman.... I really don't think actors should be considered in the same league as professional athletes just because they look good and have muscular physiques. I don't think this article is particularly well done

Why would Borg even qualify for 2009's fittest man?

He wouldn't. It's ridiculous. I assume he's never watched a tennis match from the 70's. If today's players stood relatively flat-footed for the better portion of any extended rally, they wouldn't become winded either. Physically speaking, today's players are on another planet.

there is some respectable names on that list, but to rate many if any of those guys ahead of GSP is craziness.

GSP is most likely the most fit person on that list and maybe in sports overall

The more fit you are, the more you will be tested. Since you are able to overcome such long matches, you have to play the next day again. Hamburg 2007 and 2008, Chennai 2008, Australian Open 2009, and Madrid 2009. Nadal is forced to play another match after such an extremely long match that he wins by endurance.

That is correct, to an extent. Bagdatis won two straight long 5 setters, in QF & SF, when he made the AO finals, and I don't think anyone on here would call him the picture of fitness. Not to mention other long 5 setters he's had in his career.

there area some pretty questionable names on that list. i know they are trying to mix it up (otherwise it would be 25 pro athletes) but some of those names made me laugh out loud.

Wow really? you have shown your stupidity. Lebron James doent take any Performance enhancing drugs so shut up

Yea its all "genetic". Or just simple GNC creatine Lebron takes to look the way he does and being as large as he is can do the things he does.:? 6-8, 250-260 pound men should not be able to do what Lebron can do. No way in hell.

I don't think he does. He's always been big, even back in HS. Same thing w/ Dwight Howard.

Actually, I was looking at some old vids of Shaq back when he was a rookie and laughing about how if he played baseball, everyone would think he's on steroids cause he's so much bigger. The only drug b-ball players use is the Mary Jane.

I dont see it. Unlike with A-Roid and Barry Bonds, where it's obvious they did it.

Yes, he does. Like when Federer whipped Nadal's ass in two consecutive Wimbledon finals in '06 and '07. Federer can thank Nadal for giving him his tears of joy.

You're right. Maybe Nadal needs to find another way to win tennis matches. Either that or maybe he's just not cut out to be a pro tennis player. Perhaps he should get a desk job at his father's company before he's so tired that he won't even be able to get out of bed in the morning to get to his desk job.

Doesn't Federer also have to play the next day in the same tournaments? He's been in like what, 70 or so finals in his career? How come he's never too tired in the final while Nadal is? :-?

Fed usually gives up when it gets extended. He doesn't even attempt to play an extended match that he is forced to grind out. Fed is the actual wimp.

Yeah, sure. That's why Federer has won 13 Grand Slams (in which he has to win seven back-to-back best of 5 set matches each time), has been in 19 consecutive GS semifinals, has won 58 singles titles, and has been in like 75 or so finals.

I guess the ATP makes an exception for Federer in that he doesn't have to win the previous round for him to advance to the next round, right? :-?

Sure Federer gives up. How do you explain Tipsarevic '08 AO, Berdych '09 AO, Nalbandian '05 Master's Cup (when Federer was down like 5-1 in the 5th set and came back to take it to a tiebreak), Nadal Wimbledon '07 & '08, Andreev US Open '08, etc. etc. :-?
