Let's Talk Rankings Now

Anyone who has been following the ranking changes so far, would like to see the new figures. It would be interesting to know.

From what I see, just a rough estimate, the point diff. has shrunk from about 5000 to 1000. If so, Roger can again regain #1 by USO.

Yeah, and I think it's highly likely he gets the #1 ranking back now. Very interesting. Nobody even considered this scenario only two weeks ago.

Well, after Madrid many were hopeful that now Roger has put it together. And by the way, that shrunk their pont difference to about 1400 points right there.

I hope he makes it to top 10.

I ended up liking the guy. All the rumors about him got to be false.

He did not do one single unlikable thing during his 7 matches. Shame on me for calling him a clown. :(

Roger can regain number 1 by the end of Wimbledon - without winning it! But only if Rafa withdraws. If Roger wins and Rafa loses before semis, then Rgoer also takes the number 1 slot.

Here's something I posted on a similar thread in the match results forum:

The major variable now is whether or not Rafa plays Wimbledon. The scenario below is based on Rafa withdrawing from SW19.

If Roger wins today, he'll have 11070 points. If he wins Gerry Weber next week, that total will reduce by 200 points, putting Roger on to 10970 going into Wimbledon.

Rafa will have 12735 going in to Wimbledon (14960 -1820 - 405 (Queen's points)).

If we take off their respective Wimby points we see that Roger would have 9570 and Rafa would have 10735.

Roger would therefore take number 1 at Wimbledon if he made final and gained 1200 points to take him to 10770.

So if nadal makes the w final he will keep his ranking

So basically Rafa needs to drop out at Wimbledon and Fed needs to win wimbledon and Halle to be the new no. 1.

How far behind will Murray and Djokovic be, does anyone know that?

Actually I was always confident and people called me a dumbhead for being so...for Roger to regain #1 and also get a French one day.
