he inaugurated the new away-jersey from his hometown football club basel. looks a lot like the barca-away too.

and tennis-wise, rather a nadal-like outfit, but cool on grass

His tactics will be the same as ever,try to make an opponent choke against him.That tactic won him FO recently so why change something that works?

I preferred that to this new outfit. It looks a bit clinical like he's going to go into an operating theatre or something lol. *edit* just noticed the post above said a similar thing!

I like it but I'd like to see how it looks on court.
His best outfit was the 2007 one for me.
That said,he looks gorgeous no matter what he wears..for me atleast,he does. :oops:

Absolutely... this is actually where my awe at his play succumbs a bit to something different and irreverent... the Great Gasby?!... Cary Grant?!... he just looks 'camp' and ridiculous (and in a vaguely Swiss way too)!... though on the point of looking ridiculous I think Del Potro can give him a run for his money! :)

Wimbledon Saturday Practise: Federer in a Special Dress


Given the title of this thread, I was disappointed (although ultimately thankful) not to see a picture of Roger in a dress. :)

Regarding the above pic, Roger has always held a secret fantasy of being an owner/operator of a Good Humor truck. For him, tennis is merely a sideline until he can fulfill that lifelong dream.

His outfit is consistent with Wimbledon's white attire only policy. It is different so it brings some visibility to his brand. The suit is a throwback to the time when player's routinely wore sports jackets when entering the court.

Federer has always had that metrosexual instincts inside of him. The shirt he was wearing during the practice was just a basic shirt, nothing fancy. Roddick in the first pic had the polo shirt as usual, nothing out of the ordinary. I never was a big fan of colored shirts, something I would probably never wear while playing tennis.

If you are going to pass judgements on metrosexual instincts based on people wearing a jacket to enter the court, then you should also look at someone wearing bright pink throughout the tournament...what kind of instincts do you think must be inside of Nadal?

TTW may have just hit a new low. Fed and Nadal fans are seriously arguing over the clothing the guys they cheer for wear. The winner in this argument? No one.
