What box beamed racquets are on the market?
Any headlight tweener?

Check out the Dunlop Aerogel and Aerogel 4D racquets. Very well designed and made. Whatever your definition of tweener, I would think you'll find one in their range. What box beamed racquets are on the market?

I agree about the Wilson feel. My fave is their box beam constructed of (braided) 80 graphite/20 kevlar -- great feel. The feeling of Wilson box beamed frames is in great part due to the braided graphite construction. It's a combination of both features. I think there's nothing in the market with those properties. However, I agree that Dunlop braided graphite frames are really excellent.
Donnay Pro One Int'l mid is pretty much same mold as the PS 95 without the PWS on the sides...
Yeah, the Redondos are excellent -- with the Mid outperforming the MP slightly, imo. Plenty of feel and control but still have oomph when you need it.Redondo Mid and MP as well. I rather like the box beam of the MG Prestige and the Wilson Tour 90s.
prestiges...
the Prestige team is a underrated box beam tweener imo. many people disregard it due to it's even balance and light specs...
plus you still can find some Head tour classic 660... not long ago it was being sold by TW. it's the early version of the Prestige team (with heavier specs and no caps)
i really like the prestige team, myself. I've come back to this frame like 6 times now.
How do you like customizing the racquet? I find it just a little too light.
i added some 30 grams (oz???) in equal amounts at 3\9 (7,5\7,5) and butt (15) to keep the original balance
and you know what... i like just as much as the rad tt if not more...
i'm selling a twin tube radical right now if you're interested. i try not to put lead on my frame too much, b/c i know i'll keep playing with it all the time whenever i hit a shot out. I try to only play with lead on my handle.
I definitely like this frame, but I think I'm just as happy with the dunlop 300's....so I'll switch to them for now.
Yes, I do. Much better feel than other beam shapes.so what is the deal with box beams? is the alternative a more cylindrical beam? like the pure drive, etc..
do ppl prefer box beams for feel??
Yes, I do. Much better feel than other beam shapes.
But the balance has nothing to do with the mold. You can use the same mold and make frames with just about any balance that you want by adjusting the layup. Some pros use frames that are the same mold as a retail frame but have very different weights or balances or weight distributions because they are custom made for that pro using the same mold. The mold just gives you the shape of the frame. The Ps95 is 10 points Head light though and the Donnay is 6.
