August = Greatness?

During the Roddick match today i think pmac mentioned today was Gilberts birthday...Then someone mentioned that it was also Lavers birthday..

Then i realized yesterdays was feds, and Sampras birthday is the 12th....

So that's 3 of the greatest ever...born in August.

So...Leo = GOAT?

Obviously not a big deal but an interesting coincidence imo.

For those who are astrologically inclined, August does have significance.

I'm personally HIndu and thus an avid believe in astrology. Turns out, the first week or two (in some years) of August, the sun's influence is strongest, and that's a quality of many greats. Coincides with Fed & Laver, certainly. That said, I knew that & believed in it even before I knew about Laver or Fed so it isn't a retrospective analysis.

June is pretty typical for what are described as aggressive personalities and fierce fighters due to Mars's influence. It suits Nadal very well, though Borg is arguable as an "aggressive" personality. (That said, I haven't seen much of Borg's tennis, so maybe he did have an aggressive tennis style but not necessary manifested as a personality trait? JMac would suit this much better ).

That is very interesting.

All the best hockey players, for canada, are born in january-march. I dont feel like explaining why though. It isnt cosmic its coincidence.

According to the chinese culture the number 8 is a 'lucky' or 'good' number because in the chinese language it pronounces very similar to the word wealth/prosperity. So being the 8th month of the year, august is rather 'good'. Even more scarier is the fact that federer is born on the 8th of the 8th month of the year.

That is some really cool finds, i never thought about that, as another poster said, Michael Jackson was born in August and Elvis Presley (greatest entertainer of all time,died in August)

I share Fed's August 8th birthday (37 years old on Saturday ), and I'm still an average 4.5 player LOL.

But seriously, I'm not very astrologically inclined, but it is an interesting fact about Laver, Sampras and Fed. I really think it's just coincidence, but it's a fun fact nonetheless.
