I am currently looking for a new racquet and I am mostly a baseline player who loves to hit topspin so I was wondering what do people think are the best top spin racquet out there?

Aeropro Drive NON-CORTEX. I own 2 Aerorpo Drive Non-Cortex and 1 Aeropro Drive Cortex, you can feel the ball more with non-cortex.

The racket that makes you hit low to high with a good wrist snap. In other words, any racket can be a good topspin racket, it mostly depends on your form. It all depends if you like a heavy racket or a light racket, how tight you string your racket, etc. All of these variables will add to your topspin.

Well, a lot of different factors determine the amount of spin.

You can change that by string gauge (thinner the better for spin) and the texture of the string.

In a racket, you want something with bigger spaces between the strings at/near the sweetspot. That will allow you to bite the ball more and add spin.

Personally, I use POG OS for the most spin but Midplus works quite nicely also. I'm waiting on my Pro Supex Dynamic Energy to arrive so I can give it a try. It is a copy of Aeropro Drive and it's supposedly very similar but heavier.

We all know ita a matter of technique and strings butsome rackets are just spin friendly.
IMO the babalots are spin friendly but their stiffness and thick beams make them, for me, hard to swing thro the air and generate pace thro the ball which in turn generates spin.
The technology that is about, most of it isnt worth **** but I have to say moving to prince has made me realise just how spinny they are, anything with a hole in it!
If I have to pick one of they many available and not knowing your preferences in weight etc it would have to be the Ozone Pro Tour.
As effective as the APD from the baseline with better serves and net play.

Agree.

You can get a walmart racquet and hit topspin with it. It is the manner with which you hit the ball and not the racquet itself.

Heck, if there is a racquet I can buy that guarantees all the shots for me without me knowing how to hit them, then it'd be a cakewalk to beat anyone to the ground even Fed or Nadal on any court. :)

Any racquet with strings.

So tired of these posts. "Any racket" or "It's not the racket, it's technique."

WE ALL KNOW THIS!

This is a racket forum and not a technique forum. When someone asks what racket generates the most spin or power or control, it is to be assumed that all other variables are equal.

We know that it's who holds the racket and not the racket, or the strings or the overgrip...we're talking about rackets here.

Still trying to figure out which racquet you think has the most spin? I know a guy that hits monster topspin with a PS85 that he's used for 15 years.

If you want a solid answer about this, start describing not only your game, but also your frame and your opinion about it.

Spin (As I read around) comes from the technique you apply to the stroke, Open patterns strings, racquet's weight, grip you use, stiffness, etc...

So, which is the BEST???

Have no idea

Girls play with Babolats also. I see a ton with PD's and apdcs. The speedport white is a racquet which either gender will be able to play with.

If you really want to live on the edge, try some lady speedstick. The stuff lasts forever. Don't worry, I won't tell anyone about how you stay smelling fresh and hitting with such massive spin.

The Babolat line is good for topspin. AeroPro Drive is great, but Pure Drive is also good...just offers more power.

Ultimate spin setup would probably be an AeroPro Drive with a small grip size.

Hey Rhinosaur, you owe me here, Why a small grip contribute to spin???

Oh man, I can't agree with this enough. People who say it's all about the technique and not about the racquet are the same people who should just say that the aeropro drive hits about the same amount of topspin as a Kblade Tour. Look if you have to work harder to get sub par results compared to another racquet, then your statement means nothing.

Since the ball rolls across the strings a bit when hitting TS, you may find that slightly more head width than you would normally need for a flat shot is helpful. Whether that means OS instead of MP, MP instead of Mid, Extreme head shape instead of Prestige head shape, Prince head shape instead of Dunlop head shape, etc., depends on the player.

isnt that a women's racquet?
If you can find one whose cover unzips on the right instead of the left, then it's a men's racquet. :)

Also have to agree here. What's the point of even having a racket forum if all anyone ever says is "the racket doesn't affect your game its all in the form".

Without being a wise guy, you can obviously see that the OP is asking for rackets that are better suited to producing more topspin. If he was asking HOW to hit more topspin, he'd be posting this in the Tennis Tips/Instructions forum.

i will say technique plays a part. but so does the racquet and tension.
but if we're just talking bout racquets i think personally the rdx500 mp is a spin beast

I thought the Prince EX Rebel 95 had good spin, but probably because I hit a couple of forehands with it after using the KPS88 for an hour, it was like using a child's racquet. So easy to hit with, not much balls though, none at all.

Most of the Bab sticks generate big time topspin (you can't go wrong with rods like the PD, PD+, PDR, APD, etc.) I'd also name-check the C10 Pro and N95, both of which seem to get a lot of top action going. And in terms of reputation, though I haven't ever played with one, the Yonex RD7 is a legendarily spin-friendly frame.

I get tons of top spin with my K 90 tours.........but what do I know, I got plenty of spin with my old Slazenger Challenge No. 1 woodies loaded with gut.

Slazenger Pro X-1. Head light balance allows for rapid racquet head acceleration, and massive spin.

I also use Prince Topspin 16 spin strings with it.

I play in a doubles league mostly and the people out there say I hit the most topspin theyve ever played against. I can get some seriously heavy topspin on my forehand. Drives people crazy :)
