Murray-no class at all

In the Davis cup doubles match between GB-Poland Murray raised his hand before the polish player was due to serve for the match because as he said the polish player was comitting a footfault. How can a player stop play because he thinks his opponent does commit a footfault. The replay showed clearly Murray was completely wrong. What a joke.It would have been a clear ace instead they replayed the point and GB won it

I saw it. The Polish team should've been awarded the point, Murray had no right interfering with the play like that. Stupid wanker.

How would it have been a clear ace if the server had not started serving ???

Admittedly Murray was wrong to point it during a game as it isn't his job, but it had been regular occurance and the GB team had made the umpire aware previously.

Never the less, this is just yet another chance to take a knock @ Murray the most loved to hate tennis players in the history of the game.

Oops.Wanted to say that the polish player alread got his serve in but at that moment Murray raised his hand.To be honest i never saw a player stopping the play saying it was a footfault on his opponent.
The way things look for Britain atm it`s Evans or Fleming for the 5th live rubber.

Why cant Andy play with Jamie? Am I missing something??

Hutchins positioning whilst returning serve each time were appalling and his reading of where the serves were going (down the T, out wide or @ the body) weren't all too clever either.

A part of me thinks he was too much in awe of Murray and sort of expected Murray to provide the inspiration, whilst he stayed in his comfort bread and butter zone of serving big and putting away a few elementary volley’s.

Hutchins is a joke, a complete waste of space. John Lloyd should have given me the call, lol. I would have done a better job.

Yes, your missing a lot infact, Jamie has been pretty much out of sorts for the past year. His doubles ranking has plummited and he hasn't faired well recently for the GB doubles team.
Ok ok easy man...im not a huge fan of British tennis anyway, just wondered.

Seriously, wouldnt Tim Henman have done a better job? Id imagine the British crowd would have loved that? How come the tie is in Liverpool of all places?? Spreading the tennis outside of London?

The LTA want to encourage / inspire kids all over the country to become involved in the game. Not just the capital where all the money is.

Seriously though, Henman's probably still the 2nd best British tennis player. After him the corpse of Fred Perry is the British #3.

You really think that many people care a/b a Britain/Poland DC regulation doubles tie? I'm against spoilers as much as the next guy, but this is no big deal.

That's complete BS.

Rating systems work differently in England... and perhaps i was exagerating slightly, but i wouldn't class his groundies any much special than the 2.1s - 4.1's i've played.

Trust me, with height, a big serve and a decent volley together with the right tactical nouse you can go far in doubles.

Dude, what? How old are you and how long have you been watching tennis? Tennis did not start in 2000...

Heck I don't think Murray is even the worst of this decade, nevermind the entire history of the game. Come on now...

Okay, let me rephrase that, the most loved to hate player in the history of TTW, with Hewitt being his closest challenger.

HEY. Not all Brits are like Andy Murray. I am nothing like him, and I have nice teeth. I brush thoroughly twice a day and floss once a day :)

haha you just proved his point. you brush twice a day??? I brush 4x a day: before and after breakfast, after school, and after dinner. I floss once a day after dinner. In fact, my dentist recommends brushing 5x a day... I'm american

Complete wastes of space, I mean club players have better ground games than these jokers.

this is also complete rubbish. let's see these club players even reach pre-qualifying at any of the Slams. heck, let's see them get a world ranking first.

I don't think anyone realistically should be expected to brush 5 times a day
In any case, mine look fine and my dentist said they're in great condition and my breath is fine. Twice a day is fine :)

I brush once a day and I've never had a cavity.

ONCE??? i'm sorry but that is just gross... i don't know how you keep those cavities off. maybe twice you MIGHT get by... but I don't think it's possible to brush only once a day and not get cavities, unless you are under 10 years old or not a human... you might be able to get by till you're 20 even, but then those cavities are gonna start coming

The quality of your diet also greatly affects the condition of your teeth

I brush my teeth every 2nd day and I still have all of my teeth.
It depends on how much junk you eat....

Oh and Murray isn't as classless as some of the players in the past.
He probably felt justified in calling out what might've been a clear foot fault, even from the other side of the court.

I brush my teeth twice a day (sometimes thrice) and my teeth are fine...I'm American...what's your point?

It's about the quality of brushing not necessarily the quantity. Infact overzelous brushing itself, can cause cavities.

I think this is true, I read in a biology textbook that there are also "beneficial bacteria" in the mouth, so overbrushing makes you more susceptible to infection unless you keep overbrushing.

Murray shouldn't have interfered with the play.

Nope, he should just have ignored the fat that the guy's back foot was about 6inches over the centre line despite repeated requests to the umpire to sort it out. Spookily enough the Polish guy's ace rate went down after he had to serve from a legal position.

British tennis is an embrrassment. Cesc is right - they should draw straws between him, TM and myself to see who should be British number 2 in DC matches.

Hutchins was bloody awful too.

Evans will get podgered in the second rubber today.

Evans was crapping himself yestarday, urging Murray and Hutchins to win because if they lost, its all down to him and we all know he'll lose.
