Daniel Kosakowski and Clay Thompson both commit to UCLA...is the momentum shifting toward the Bruins in CA?
No, cause Stanford will win the NCAA for next 3 years...

if they are so good, why is it that i never heard of them in the Junior slams ??
In the Class of 2010, these two are both top 10 blue chips players on tennisrecruiting.net. CT has been playing and dominating forever and DK has hit his stride over the past few years. Both are So Cal boys, I guess they wanted to stay close to home. Good luck to both of them...UCLA is great school!
How did they do in the Junior Slams ?? did they reach the semis of any of them ? I have not seen their names in any of the late stage draw in the slams this year.....
Who cares? How did Devin Britton do in the Jr. Slams?

Well actually pretty well
He got to the finals at US Open Jrs.
Semis in Wimbledon Jrs
He also won Eddie Herr and Orange Bowl doubles.
You are correct about the US Open Jr. Wimbledon result was after he won the NCAA's. Feddie was referring to the Jr. Slams.
Who cares? how did the stanford team do in NCAA's TEAM tournament? definitely not the sweet 16.
Stanford made the sweet 16 just last May.
wow,DK and CT are a hugh addition for UCLA..
Let's not forget that USC still got the best player in California. Yeah, UCLA probably has the best recruiting class right now, but Duke and Michigan are right on their heels, and a lot depends on where Domijan goes, if Sandgren goes, and which international players go where.
Not to mention Stanford beat USC in one of there duals this last season. IDK about the other ones.
Scary good lineup below. and that isn't even the best lineup we can put up. Denis Lin will prove to be the hidden gem. He will win some key matches at #6 spot during the season.
Singles:
1) No. 7 Alex Clayton (STAN) d. No.119 Andreas Weber (HAW) 6-7, 6-3, 1-0 (3)
2) No. 96 Ryan Thacher (STAN) d. Leo Rosenberg (HAW) 6-4, 6-3
3) No. 76 Richard Wire (STAN) d. Jeremy Tweedt (HAW) 3-6, 7-5, 1-0 (6)
4) No. 91 Gregory Hirshman (STAN) d. Philipp Eberhard 6-1, 6-4
5) Matt Kandath (STAN) d. Dmytro Kovalyov (HAW) 7-6, 6-2
6) Denis Lin (STAN) d. Daniel Llarenas (HAW) 6-2, 6-4
Maybe that lineup is scary to Hawaii, but not for top 10 teams. Klahn is better than Clayton, so you're right this isn't the best lineup that you can put out. It still pales in comparison to UVa with Uriguen or UT with Tennys Sandgren, and I'd give both USC and UCLA slight edges.
And Stanford doesn't even have a top 5 recruiting class in California right now.

Matt Kandath would play #2 or #3 in UCLA or USC so i would disagree with you...

he would for sure be lower than #6 his freshmen year if he played at ucla. he would be at #6 or lower at USC.
how can that be ? He is a future pro in the making...
Klahn isn't better. Alex leads in matches 5-4.

Clayton makes Klahn look like a nobody.
What matches are these? Practice matches? That video is from 2008. Based on this year's results, Klahn is indeed a better player, though both of them would play no higher than 3rd for USC.
Also, I like Kandath, but he's no future pro, and he would not be playing any higher for USC or UCLA than he does at Stanford.

A friend asked if I saw Daniel play in La Habra. I didn't but looked up his results, see he's already beaten some really experienced Open level players. Seems like he's going to be an impact player from the get to.Daniel Kosakowski and Clay Thompson both commit to UCLA...is the momentum shifting toward the Bruins in CA?

In april Klahn beat USCs #2 6-3 2-6 10-6.
Johnson beat Klahn this fall on the way to the D'Novo semis. He followed that by winning the ITA indoor. Both are good players, but this fall Johnson is playing better.
His results in the slams are nothing to be proud of. Clayton won the US open Juniors.
Yeah, the US Open Jr Doubles title.
Don't forget,,, even JP Mcenroe's first slam win was in Mixed doubles....
Who would u say was more responsible for Mac's MXD title, him or Mary Carillo???
Likewise, who would you say was more responsible for Clayton's US Open jr Dubs title, him or his partner??
JP carried Mary just as Clayton carried whoever that guy that sucks in the challenger events.....:???:
U mean that guy who's been ranked higher than Clayton in ever category, ever. Jrs, Pros, singles, doubles??? That guy???
The people who go to college and stay in school are the ones who dont think they can make it on the tour. Sounds kinda like your gut Clayton.
Whatever happened to Matt Bruch anyway?? Wasnt he another one of your Standford cant miss pro prospects also???
Why doesn't Clayton play doubles then?
