I see all the code names when people reference Head racquets all the time, like TKG, TK, 237, 238, 57, etc etc, but never know which frames they exactly are. Can someone please decode them? Thanks.
you won't be able to get your hands on a djoko racket most likely. it's a very mysterious racket/mold that most certainly isn't any form of a speed pro.
Djokovic and Murray's sticks don't have codes. They are completely custom racquets with custom molds, layups, and drill patterns. To date, these are the only two Head players who don't use coded racquets. The codes are as follows, keeping in mind that the .1's are 18x20, the .2's stiffer 16x19s, and the .3's flexier 16x19s:
--TGK219.1,2,3--Pro Stock Extremes
--TGK231.1,2,3--Pro Stock Radicals
--TGK237.1,2,3--Pro Stock Prestige Mids
--TGK238.1,2,3--Pro Stock Prestige MPs
--TGK262.1,2,3--Pro Stock Thin-Beamed Speed Pros
--TGK263.1,2,3--Pro Stock Thicker-Beamed Speed Pros
--PT57A--Pro Tour 630
--PT57E--There's a lot of controversy. Some believe it's a stiffer layup of the 630, whereas others believe it's the i.Prestige mold and layup. Head touring pros seem to think it's the old 630 though, as Ernests Gulbis told me after a match that he uses "the old blue one."

Hope this helps.

As I just read in another posters thread, the TGK262.1 is still a 16x19. So is there a TGK262.x that is a softer, 18x20?

Nice summary, any idea what the beam size is on the thin versus the thick?
How stiff are .1's in comparison to the .2 and .3?
M missed the PT161 (insict mold?), PT219.2 (Kusnetsova)...
I love the PT57E explanation!
I believe 18 vs 20 (mm) but I'll double check.

Thanks for the quick response. Just curious but have you ever with with any of the TGK 231 Radical Pro stock versions? Just wondering how they hit compared to retail. I believe that's what Chardy and Cilic use.

I think this is a pretty accurate list. During tests, the E def. felt stiffet then the A, and it is is much closer to the original Pro Tour. The only other thing I would like to add is that Murray plays with the PT57A. I see his racquets all the time at the stringer when picking up ours.
They do make the 16x19 mold. Murray could be using it. It's usually picked by players who come to HEAD from another brand.Hey man, it must be the custom 57A since Murray's string pattern is 16x19

zspyderman, you are bang-on correct with your assessment of the E and you are also spot on correct that Murray uses a PT57A (with a 16x19 drill pattern).

These guys go through a ton of racquets. I see his racquets all the time. The one with no code could be an early version from the time they changed the paint job to Youtek, and they got his before the production started on the new design PTs.You could be right, but a highly-esteemed poster on these boards, Ericsson, has one of Murray's racquets, and there is no code anywhere on the frame.

A few questions...
According to this TGK231.2 would be a stiff Radical MP 16x19 however I found this code to describe a stiffer Radical MP but with a 18x20 stringpattern.
What I've gathered:
TGK231.1 - MG Radical MP 18x20
TGK231.2 - MG Radical MP 18x20 (stiffer ver.)
TGK231.3 - MG Radical MP 16x19
TGK237.1 - MG Prestige Mid
TGK237.2 - MG Prestige Mid 16x19
TGK238.1 - MG Prestige MP
TGK238.2 - MG Prestige Pro
TGK238.3 - Prestige Pro Room (Wawrinka)
PT10 - Prestige Classic 600
PT57A - Pro Tour 630 (RA 53-57)
PT57E - Pro Tour 630 (RA 58-62)
PT161 - Liquidmetal Instinct
PT167A - FXP Radical MP
TGK260.1 - YouTek Radical MP
TGK260.2 - YouTek Radical Pro 16x19TGK262.1 - YouTek Speed Pro
TGK263.1 - YouTek Speed MP 16x19
Any input???
How did you come to that conclusion? Chardy uses TGK231.2 and his racquets are 18x20.
The TGK231.3 is 16x19.............
Get out of here you fool!!!!!!!!!
anyone ever seen a microgel prestige pro that's ALL white on the inside of the throat -- no codes or writing / logos?
No prob. We're all seeking the truth after all I was just surprised because this info was checked by someone very knowledgeable.Automatix, I apologize, I miscounted the grommets.
+1!!!Get out of here you fool!!!!!!!!!
Yep, I have....
Murray's racquets have no code in the throat.
When Murray used the i.radical MP Cosmetics on his PT57A it was 18x20. He uses 16x19 string pattern on his MG Radical cosmetics and YouTek Radical Cosmetics.
Looks like they do now... LOLHis new Youtek Radical PJ PT57A do indeed have his name on it.
Hey, What's the swing weight, static weight and the stiffness of the bridge? Some might like to figure it out before commiting to buying... LOL And what's the broken yellow line desing down the middle of it...? Does that have a special meaning...?I just happen to own a bridge in Brooklyn. I would be happy to sell it to you at a very special low price just for you fedace. Is that something you would be interested in?
