We have a mxd team and the guys are just not showing up for practice and cancelling their match confirmations days before the match while the ladies are showing up every practice.
Most guys are in their 30s/ and 40s. The laides are moslty 40 and 50 +
do you have the same situation in ur teams?
It's probably because the men have wives at home that have something else for them to do.
I run a men's team and that's just the way it is...
I still blame the men though.
What happens a lot is some men are responsible and they are able to tell their wives that they have made plans (or they check with them ahead of time).
And some men are just very sheepish and lazy and they let their wives plan their entire schedule for them. So rather then keep their plans for you, it's a lot easier for them just to cancel because they would hate to have too make a decision on their own....
Pretty much when they say they are going to do something you learn that it really means "if they dont come across something else.....". Once I know that I pretty much just put them on the bottom of my list when it comes to counting on someone.
Women on the other hand can just tell their husbands they are playing. (and they have no problem Im sure doing so.....)
On top of that there seem to be a lot more women playing league tennis then men. A lot of them have a lot more time on their hands so they have a lot more time to dedicate to the sport.
