If those hot babes are supposed to attract more viewers, it's working, 'cause The Fox News Channell is beating the living crap out of all the others...:)

I thought that sort of exposure was not allowed on US TV??? Especially a national news channel!!!

Where's the outrage from the moral majority??

Where are the 'family values' brigade?

Where are the old-faithful conservatives?

You've posed the wrong question. Why do other news networks behave in such a sexist manner by dressing their female anchors and reporters in pantsuits that mimic male attire?

Males in the U.S. tend to be both more "conservative" and more "Republican" than other "segments" of the general population. I believe that in the last election for example, McCain/Palin only won one "demographic" group among the voters, white males.

White males have tended to form the "base" of the Republican Party for quite some time. So, I wouldn't be surprised if such "sex appeal" is intentionally used to keep their viewing audience interested in watching. I also like the above post which points out that it tends to "distract" one from what is actually being said on their shows. More style, less substance, so its pretty simple.

Because if Fox News' viewers began to think, it would be the end of Fox News, so they have to distract them.

True. Even though I have absolutely no problem with female skin on TV and should probably be doing more to actively encourage it.

Is this a photoshop deal? That first pic looks too good to be true...

Those have to be photoshopped, at least the first and third. I mean look at the third picture for example, right by the thumb. Would a hem on any clothing really be that crappy that it had massive uneven bumps?? Just another attempt to slander Fox News (not that I watch Fox or any of the others for that matter).

Do any of you who bought into these pics when you saw them think most Fox News viewers are gullible dolts...?

The thing is, there is more than a grain of truth the idea behind the photos, so if one doesn't examine the pics closely and realize how revealing the photos actually are, they're kinda believable.

Concidentally, I just watched SNL, and in some skit involving the news, one of the characters was referred to as something like "attractive blond Fox News correspondent" and she was wearing an outfit not unlike some of these photos.

So obviously, this is a thing with Fox that many people are picking up on, so if one believed these pictures, I'm not sure that qualifies them as a gullible dolt.

why do people think they're photoshopped i dont get it

The first pic is either photoshopped or just some freak occurance due to the way she is sitting at that exact moment -- a type of wardrobe malfunction if you will -- or an "optical illusion" of sorts due to looking at a still image from a broadcast. There is no way that woman is wearing a skirt that high throughout the show.

The other pics I'm less certain about.

The whole point of this thread is about how revealing the photos are. I wasn't using any fancy gadgets to uncover the deception. I just looked at them in a way any other red-blooded American would, and before I could finish saying, "I'd like to crack off a piece in that", I could tell they were photoshopped.

Yep, like the saying goes; "It's a Fox thing. You wouldn't understand..."

Apparently you looked at them closely then. As mentioned, a cursory glance at the photos in a thread about how revealing the photos are does not instantly shout out "fake!" I mean, it's not like they are topless or anything. The humor and photoshopping is a matter of degree.

Plus, just about the only person who seemed to definitely buy them and pronounce Fox as outrageous was a foreign female poster. You didn't see me going off on this issue, for instance. But then, I examined them closely as well...

Wow, I knew Fox news was leading CNN but I didn't realize it was such a thrashing. More than a 3 to 1 difference. Maybe that's why when CNN was covering Palin's last speach at the tea party they were unusually kind to her. I did find it odd but I guess they are trying to be nice to conservatives to attain more viewers and get those advertising dollars.

I think partly it's becuase of a divide and conquer effect. Right wingers want to watch Fox, while left wingers are spread among the rest of the shows. The other part is that maybe more right wingers watch TV than do lefties. I don't know. I certainly don't think it's important or indicative of anything larger.

I was shocked they televised that speech. When is the last time -- if ever -- that CNN covered a paid speech by a private citizen live and in it's entirety? Very bizarre. I doubt they would have covered it had it been on a weeknight, but still very surprising.

Don't think they are aiming to be nice to to conservatives though -- I'm sure they just figured it might attract more viewers than a Larry King repeat. And it did, as at least in my case, since I tuned in for some of it.
