I have registered to the clearinghouse but just have to send my transcripts in. However, as an international student what do they require me to send to them as my careers counselor doesnt know much about college sport? Are there certain documents which the NCAA send to me to fill out? Or do I just send them documents proving my graduation? What specifically do they require from an international student?

Thanks!

The NCAA Clearinghouse is terribly overwhelmed & understaffed. Do NOT wait for them. Mail in everything you have... transcripts, GPA, test scores, Amateurism certificate, etc.

If you have the Clearinghouse #, log on and check your account. See what's missing. You have to keep on this, because it is your responsibility and they have too many applicants. It took us 1 1/2 years to get through the eligibility process.

Ok, thanks for that! I have already registered and done the basic question, so once I send all my documents in I just have to wait until they accept me? Do they send me an email to notify me or do i just have to continually log in and check whether I am eligible? Can I can complete the Clearinghouse if I have not yet done my SAT?

Thanks!!

The NCAA will NEVER send you a letter or e-mail that tells you "you're in." They just don't have the time or resources for that. If you're lucky, you'll get one letter from them to tell you what you're missing -- that's it.

You really have to prod, nag, follow up with them on a daily basis. Keep calling, keep asking. Get the name & extension of someone & then keep calling that same person back.

Criteria for foreigners is different than USA kids, so don't rely on answers to your SAT question. Have you taken the TOEFEL? Aim for that one.

One question: if I enrolled in one university in Russia since september 2009 til december 2009, but then decided to leave it and go to the USA, should I mention it in eligibility centre?

Thanks for all your help so far. I have one more question...

Because one must do certain subjects in order to be elligible do I have to show a record of all the subjects I did throughout highschool?

NCAA Eligibility Center
Certifications Processing
P.O. Box 7136
Indianapolis, IN 46207-7136

I'm pretty sure it's this.

Don't forget that you MAY qualify to have the NCAA clearinghouse application cost waived.... Although, if we are talking about tennis, I doubt anyone on this board is at that threshold.

Another question, they just sent me an email saying that I need to:

Task 1 :
Also, please be sure to be added to an institution's request list.

What does this mean?

Thanks.

This is vaguely familiar. I remember when my son took the SAT & ACT, I had to include the code for the NCAA so that the test results were sent to the NCAA.

I think the message you're getting is suggesting to you to notify the colleges that you're interested in that you have a clearinghouse #. That puts their athletic office on notice to check on it/you periodically. When you clear the clearinghouse, those selected colleges will receive notification from the NCAA.
