It's grooved and offset like that because of how he holds his pinky and gives him a known spot to set up on his backhand...was part of an P1 article a while back somewhere

He uses a pt57a, with lead all the way under the cap grommets, and alu power, like Delpotro, Gulbis, Berdych. Alu) Joker uses it on crosses, as does Fed, (alu rough), cilic, (back and forth/vs/alu on mains), Haas, Hewitt. Murray on the mains/vs cross. Too bad it doesn't last long before it goes long.

As far as I know, Robin's racquets do not have butt caps. The handles are molded fully in one piece hence no need for caps...

What is 'P1'? I read a story in Tennis Magazine (US) about a guy who has been customizing rackets for pros and he detailed what he did for Soderling.

It's not a butt cap, he uses a custom molded handle shaped like his favorite grip from his earlier career. He's very particular about the way his leather grip was wrapped and used to spend all this time getting the grip wrapped and built up just right but Priority One made him a custom molded one piece handle in his favorite shape. I believe he plays with just one overgrip right on the handle as well.

I don't understand how he can use no replacement grip and only one overgrip. Especially with an all poly string. The vibrations must be tremendous.

the whole in the buttcap it to add weight. for example p1 customized my racquets and the procedure they used were some kind of weights probably lead sealed and secured with an epoxy. probably the same deal with robins frames.

Just a question , what is a PT57A, what does that look like or what kind of raquets s closeto that one ?

Thank you
Same mold as the PT630 (and the Prestige MP line). Different materials (100% graphite), flex below 60, uncustomized comes at <300g...
Great stick, worth every penny...especially if you have any arm issues
