ATP Players-Radical or Prestige?

Back in the 90s, more ATP pros played with the Prestige than any other Head stick let alone any other racquet. The only pro it seemed who played with the Radical was Agassi and he used the oversize.

However, today several pros use the Radical MP-e.g. both players in today's 1st French semis, Rad Pro-Murray, etc.

So in today's game, which series do more ATP players use? The Radical or the Prestige. Why?

And which version of the two series is the most popular? Why?

Thanks.

1. Murray does not really use a YT Radical Pro.
2. Soderling does not really use a YT Radical MP.
3. Yes, Berdych is using the YT Radical MP but with a 16x19 drill pattern.
4. Cilic really does use a MG Radical MP
5. Chardy really does use a MG Radical MP.

A few years ago Agassi was the main endorser of the Radical. Most players use a prestige of some type and so used to latest prestige PJ. Since Agassi retired they have pushed more players on to the Radical PJ to try and push sales as the Prestige has and always will sell it self. Cillic and Berdych use a custom radical frame, other than that of the top, top players they are Prestiges

Shouldn't we know better than to say that any top 25 Head player is really using a YouTEK or MicroGEL?

Oops . . . I believe Sharapova is REALLY using a YouTEK.

a Youtek Prince? That would be a patent infringement.

My question is what frame is used more by pros these days Radical or Prestige.

Partially true.

1. Murray uses the PT57A with a 16x19 drill pattern.
2. Soderling uses the PT57A (18x20 drill pattern).
3. Berdych uses the TGK260.2 (Youtek Radical mold, but made in China w/100% graphite, 16x19 string pattern)
4. Cilic uses the TGK231.3 (MG Radical mold, but made in China w/100% graphite, 16x19 string pattern)
5. Chardy uses the TGK231.2 (MG Radical mold, but made in China w/100% graphite, 18x20 string pattern)

In all fairness, MDubb's clarification of what VSBabolat meant by saying a player was using a particular frame was helpful, and not necessarily showing off. There had already been, after all, a misunderstanding of VSB's post.

I think everyone on this site is way too serious...........

What makes you say that? Looking at the top 20 as of may 24th 2010, there is not a single Prestige user in there while there are 2 players using Radicals MP with 16x19 patterns.

Murray.....plays Prestige Pro
Söderling.....plays Prestige Mp

Berdych does play a Radical, Cilic as well.

But if you look at Top 100, Prestige users among Head players far outweighs the number of Radical players.

Prestige players:

Murray, Söderling, Wawrinka, Simon, Gulbis, Schuettler, Haas and some more, which I can't remember right now ;)

All those guys except Warinka play PT57A, PT57E or PT10 for Schuettler. That's only one player using a "real" prestige...

Correct - but all Atp tour players play some sort of PT head racquet custom design, but the guys I say use Prestige, they use a PT model build on the original Prestige frame design and NOT the original Radical frame design.

Prestige frame design - thinner beam width and the original long CAP grommets that runs from top to bottom of the outside frame.

Radical frame design - thicker beam width and shorter CAP grommets.

;)
