Federer should use a Prestige mid
Why would he do that...A Prestige Mid is actually SMALLER than the 6.1 Tour 90...It's an 89.5 (or a 93 when measured from the outside of the frame).
Federer should use a Prestige mid
Just imagine what he could do with one of Weed's 135 inchers!
Exactly! It's not his racquet.
I'd bet people who start these threads are people who can't handle a 90 sq. in. racquet themselves so they think the best player who ever lived must also not be able to handle it. Think about how dumb that sounds.
You're right, drak. I stand corrected.correction, BP............ they can't handle any racquet.
Now I'm wondering what he meant by "slams".
i say it's time to add a coach

look i know youve heard enough of a federer racquet switch already but this time its serious. federer falling to number 3 is catastrophic at the least. federers game has really taken a hit because of a lack of power. what he needs to do to make up for it is to go to a wide beamed 95-98 frame. federer should do some testing with wilson and look at the BLX Pro Open. A 96 inch frame would work well for federer at this point in his career.

Maybe the Asian BLX with some mods would be a better fit for him. At his age, the weight of the US BLX is just too much.

But those Asian BLX's are VERY difficult to find. BHBH
Call me impatient, but I've been waiting on that reference. I was immediate with shipping/posting your reference and would appreciate it (in return) if you could take a breather from posting on TTW and drop me a simple note.

Agreed, this clown might actually win a few slams if he went to a bigger frame. I don't know why no one has ever suggested this.
Notice how he hasn't won anymore slams using his small 90 sq head? Almost stuborn the way Pete Sampras was, until 2002...
Federer already played his last grand slam final in 2009/2010, so if he enjoys playing tennis, keep his current setup...if he wants to compete and "hang" withthe stronger younger players, who are more hungirer than Roger is at 30/31, than move up to a 98 or 100 sq. otherwise ti will be QF and SF the rest of your career..
Whether or not you think that Fed should change to a larger headed stick, it is a FACT that his shank count is miles higher than Nadal or Djokovic. That's due to the headsize.

You mean 2011 at the French Open after he'd wiped the court with Djokovic for most of the semifinal - using the same frame he's using now??Federer already played his last grand slam final in 2009/2010, so if he enjoys playing tennis..
Um....didn't Sampras win that Slam in 2002 with an 85 sq. in. racquet?Notice how he hasn't won anymore slams using his small 90 sq head? Almost stuborn the way Pete Sampras was, until 2002...

And you know this because you've seen Federer play with a bigger racquet for 5 years and you've compared his shank stats with 5 years of him using his 90, right?Whether or not you think that Fed should change to a larger headed stick, it is a FACT that his shank count is miles higher than Nadal or Djokovic. And we all know that no one ever won anything beyond the age of 31.sorry father time is here. he's going to be 31. that my friend is what they call the bottom line.
his timing on rushed or super fast paced shots where he's trying to crank out more racquet head speed to do something with it.
90sq" sticks will be musuem piece in 5 years time.
Which is EXACTLY why he needs to move to a bigger racquet - not enough pop or forgiveness to his exsiting stick so he's slashing at the ball.
You don't see Djoko and Nadal have 20-25 shanks during a match.
90sq" sticks will be musuem piece in 5 years time.
Fed is not having a terrible season and he hits the ball as hard as anyone. Bigger racket will do jack sh*t unless Fed decides to change his precision game to baseline grinder game which will not suite him because he is not 25!
THE TRUTH!!!!!
OP, listen to yourself, Federer just lost to a guy in the semi finals of a slam. A guy who is the currently Wimbledon, uso and ao champion.

Who doesn't?Yet he still gts pushed around the Raonics byrdych soderlings del potros jokers and nadal and now goffin????
