I recently purchased 2 of the same racquets online (evidently the last 2 racquets they had in stock for now) and according to the rep, there's 2 grams difference between the 2 racquets (he weighed it while over the phone). I'm pretty anal about getting the weight as close to as possible and figured this was close enough. So I asked them to string with a 16 gauge and 17 gauge strings and after receiving them in the mail today, I weighed them myself and now there's a 7 gram difference. Does 16 gauge add that much more weight (5 more grams) to the racquet? This sounded too much to me. I figured a 16 gauge vs 17 gauge would be more like a 1-2 gram difference, not 5. I don't know if they lied to me to sell me in order to sell the racquets or if there really is this large difference in the gauge weights. What do you guys think?
