just saw a bunch of the new 2011 blx lineup at my club.
new strings
1 wilson nxt control - wilson's attempt at a tecnifibre promix type string, little more lively than the k gut but not as powerful as regular nxt.
2 wilson shock shield. has gel inside, didn't string it up yet but feels like a standard synthetic. reminds me of klip kicker before stringing.
3 wilson sgx - dodmt get to touch the string b ut supposed to be a crisp syn gut like reaction.
4 wilson red alert - red copoly. didn't get to see it yet, triangular shaped monofilament.
5 enduro pro - i know it's not a new string but comes in a variety of colors (red, silver, black) and feels way softer than the previous versions of enduro pro. look for more pocketing than previous version.
6 lux adrenaline rough- pretty straightforeward. adrenaline in rough texture
7 lux savage - wilsons attempt at babolat's rpm with a lower pricepoint.
as for racquets
1cierzo = 120 head, 9.8 strung, 27.9 length, 8pts hh , 16x19 , 29mm dual taper . a reincarnation of the sledgehammers.
2 stratus 3 = 115 head, 9.7 strung, 27.5 , 10pts hh , 16x19 , 30 mm dual taper
3 tempest 4 = 110 head, 8.7 strung, 27.25 , 14 pts hh, 16x20 , 28 mm dual taper
WHAT I REALLY CARE ABOUT
4 blade tour blx = 93, 12 strung, 7 pts hl,27 , 18x20, 20.2 flat beam. better cosmetics, makes the racquet look heftier, not so thing
5 blade blx = 98 , 11.3 , 27, 2 pts hl, 18x20 , 20.6 flat beam. plays softer in the head but les flex in the shoulders/throat of the racquet. love the update. comes in pink for the metros too95 head, 11 strung, 27.5 , 4pts hl, 16x20, 25 mm dual taper. has the power holes. closer to what henin uses, just put come awful natural gut in there and call it a day
