I'm sure they are passing along the best info they have; sadly Volkl isn't telling them much. I called Volkl's USA distributor to see what they could tell me; not much.
I asked for her manager's name (apparantly the Account Manager for Volkl's USA operations); I badgered him until he admitted they've been frustrated since July by the lack of information coming out of China; they don't know why and no one is talking to them, all they can do is pass along the bad news.
He did give me the name of a shop in Texas that he thought had a few left; turns out they do, but not in my grip size, but apparently the pallets on the PBs are interchangeable, so I can get that sized up. Much more costly than online retailers though
Makes you wonder about Volkl as a company though (scares me, as I also use their skis! Very good ones!) if no one in the company can pinpoint the source of the prolonged delays.
One thing he did say is that they are moving their warehousing to NJ. That's not the cause of the current problem, but could further delay things....
But I may be in the club in 2 weeks!
