New Nike courtballistic 3.3

I also agree. So far, the shoe feels more like a blend of the fit of CB 2.3 and the feel of the Barricade 6 than any other Nike shoe. Unlike the CB 2.3, these shoes definitely need to break-in before they can be really evaluated. If you were to judge after 1-2 days, I think many would select the old CB 2.3 as a more comfortable shoe.

At last the cb3.3 is now available at my local Nike store which is just a short walk away from the office. gonna check it out. Hopefully I would like it.
Having lunch at Nike!

Being like the B6 isn't necessarily a bad thing is it?

They may be a little like the b6, but they have more room in the toe
box. I could not use the b6 shoe because they were way to tight in the
toe box. The b.3's feel great, very comfortable, great feel + no pinching
on my feet like the b6.

Saw them yesterday at my local indoor club. It's heavy for sure....didn't try them on cause they didn't have my size for some odd reason...

If Nike continues the 6 month warranty, the outsoles can't be any worse than the CB 2.3s.

Hey

Do you mind explain this? 6 Month Warranty? Howd you mean?

So if the soles go before 6 months they will replace them for free?

Does this still apply if you purchased from a high street shop?

I got mine today. for comparison, Im wearing the 2.3 and 3.3 side by side now
So the 3.3
- has the same length and width as the 2.3
- more narrow in the middle
- very noticeable stiffness upon trying on (defintely break-in needed)
- i would say the entire shoe is higher to the ground
- slight discomfort (quite bothering) at the top of the heel do to less cushioning.

Compared to 2.3, 2.3 is still more comfortable out of the box

Still need to break in to see if it gets better, i hope it does!!

here are a few pics side to side with 2.3

Basically, if you wear through the sole in 6 months Nike will replace them for free (you pay shipping costs), provided you have proof (like a receipt) that they wore out in the 6 month period and didn't do something stupid like apply a belt grinder to the shoe.

I'm not sure if Nike offers the warranty on shoes sold in the UK or Europe. Might want to check with TWE.

I have been playing almost every day for over a week now with these shoes. All i can say is that these are some great court shoes. Great comfort, support, stability, everything i can ask for out of a shoe.

Now that you have broken them in, how would you compare it to the CB 2.3s? When I got the CB 2.3s, I would take out the insole and put my own custom one in, if you do, does it feel higher than the CB 2.3s?

Sorry but i have always used barricades, this is my first pair of nikes. I did
change the insoles to spenco orthotics, which works fine.

The 3.3's appear to feel a mashup of the B6's, Cage 2's and the 2.3's.

The B6 characteristics come in that the 3.3's are firmer overall than the 2.3's or the 1.3's. Both of those shoes very very soft right out of the box. Nike has dialed back the softness yet there is still a hint of it under neath the firmer overall feel.

They are Cage 2 like in that they really wrap the upper part of your foot up-very stable and I also like the shape of the sole as opposed to the 2.3's.

JoelD, sorry but the middle part of the shoe is much narrower than the 2.3's but the toe box is much roomier. My 2.3's gave me some forefoot issues and this should get rid of that.

Firm yet comfortable is my verdict.

I'm staying away from these for that reason, will try them on at Niketown NYC when they gettum though...I love how they look and love the Black/Varsity color but width is key for me.

They have them there already. Saw both colorways there last night.

So, it really only took about an hour for the shoes to soften up for me. Still, they could soften up more, but the arch support didn't bother me as much after that.

I just got my pair today and boy are they stiff. Just out of the box, they definitely going to need some time to break them in. Time to watch that video of Nadal breaking in his shoes:).

Cool, I will go there sometime this weekend and try them on.

So did they have all the other crap too, Fed polos etc?

If they fit, I say go for it. I just got done with 90 minutes of singles in mine and no break in needed.

The 2.3's are sucking the tailpipe of the new gsoat: the 3.3 :)

Maybe I was a little too focused on the sneakers. Ha.

Didn't look at all the clothes. Did see some new Nadal shirts though. The Open Fire and Fearless ones were there.

Just got my black, yellow, white and they are totally sick. Feel great out of the box. Have not played in them yet. The color pattern on the sole is different from the red white and black. Can't wait to hit in them.

I wore these on the courts for 3 hours and they still felt a bit stiff and clunky. One time, i almost trip over my own foot. Feel wise, they felt pretty much like the CB 2.3s and offered about the same amount of cushion and support.

I do appreciate the wider toe box which is one thing the CB 2.3s did not have. I guess I will have to give these a few more sessions before I figure out whether to stick with the CB 3.3s or buy up some of the other 2.3s.

I hit today for two hours and found these shoes to be better than the 2.3s. And I absolutely love the 2.3s. I don't find this shoe to be wider in the toe box. I actually found that the 3.3 fits a bit snugger than the 2.3.

I did not need any break in period other than the twisting and bending I did in my hands. Shoes felt great out of the box. Really solid. I love the look and really liked the way I could move in these shoes.

Because I love the 2.3s, I bought one of those and one of the 3.3s. I will stick with the 3.3 for sure and may even get a few different colors right away. I can't say enough about them.

Just got home from Nike Town NYC and I just had to buy them after trying them on in the store. They felt incredible in the store. I was amazed at how perfectly they fit. Like they were perfectly formed for me in the basement while I waited by little Jewish Nike shoe cobblers.

These are beyond GSOAT with the Thorlo L3 on.

The thicker insole is awesome.

The fit is awesome.

The support is awesome.

The cushioning throughout the shoe is awesome.

I will wear them tonight for a few hours of doubles.

I expect good things.

No stores in my area received these yet. I want to buy them online but which colorway should I get? I do not prefer one color over the other but which color combo makes the shoe look better overall..

Also, are you guys getting the same size as you did the CB 2.3?

Personally, I like the black/white/yellow version. Will probably go with more clothes and be alot less common, as they don't have the direct Rafa connection- that may, or may not be a good thing for you, but that's my thought process!

I knew you couldn't resist. Still, it was wise to wait and make sure they weren't too narrow for you.

If you like them now, just wait til you play in them :)

I'm on the 7 train headed to NTC to play LubeCheck(tm).

Then off to CityView at 7PM for 1.5hrs of singles with the ghost of Al Parker.

I'm declaring a very GSOAT declaration.

CB 3.3 are extreme immortal. Beyond GOAT. The most imortant shoe since God sprinkled Oreo 6s upon us like the dews of the grassy GOAT mountians of basel.

LOL! Thought you would like them man. In all seriousness, at least for me, this is the best Nike tennis shoe I have owned. Just fantastic.

Just got home from a marathon of tennis in the CB 3.3

The latest reason why I'm declaring GSOAT on these shoes is I played 3 sets of doubles on hardcourt, then hopped on the train back to CityView and played 3 sets on clay.

My feet would normally be DEAD sore after that much tennis but as I sit here typing this watching Querrey in the 5th set my feet feel MUCH less fatigued than normal.

The added cushioning of the insole is HUGE.

With the 2.3 they were paper thin and if you take them out and feel whats beneath them (no insole) its a hard as hell surface.

With the 3.3 the added 1/2 inch is sooo nice for people with chronic foot pain like me.

These are the GSOAT.

Hands down.

L3 + CB 3.3 = heaven.

Any opinion on outsole durability? it looks like cage but never tried cage before.

Sole is very similar in texture and shape to the cage.

Durability seems like it will be better than 2.3. Only because they feel much thicker and sturdier. The sole and the whole shoe.

These have the form feel of the B2K10 in some way. They really have such good support all around.

I'm sure many 2.3 people like me are waiting for more feedback on these, it took me a week to hold off. LoL.

I actually felt OK handing Nike Town $138 for them today. 125 + tax. :D

These shoes are absolute GSOAT for me. I don't hold back if something sucks. :)

I will definitely be stocking up on this colorway, these look amazing in person.

It's great you guys find the shoe better than the 2.3s but I am still on the fence. While the insole that comes with the shoe is better than the CB 2.3s, I always wear the SOF Athlete insole so the cushioning didn't feel any better than the 2.3s forme.

After 5 hours of play so I have a slight issue with the left ankle rubbing against the side of the plastic when moving laterally. I hope a few more hours hitting with these shoes will soften the material and I can join others here who are singing the praise of the shoe. Otherwise, I will have to load up on the CB 2.3s :(.

I have to agree, these are the best shoes i have ever worn. It has only been
2 weeks but they are very nice. I have been playing almost everyday, so far my feet have felt great. I do have foot problems sometimes but so far my feet are feeling great.

The insole that comes with these shoes is thicker than most, but to me it is still a cheap insole. I never use a factory insole because they are all crap. I am using the spenco orthotic insole + they feel very good in this shoe.

Pretty high praise from someone who raved about the 2.3 repeatedly in 2010...

I also find it to be my favorite Nike tennis shoe ever. Less foam in the upper and tongue gives it a more responsive feel and soaks up less sweat for me. The webbing system that wraps the foot feels super secure and fits my foot really well.
