Hey guys i was just wondering if you guys think it would be wrong just to email a company to see what they would offer and then maybe say no?

Ehh depends on the company. And I mean if you were wanting a full sponsorship, but then they only will offer you a preferred player, then if you can't afford a preferred player/don't want one then I think it's fine to turn it down.

So mantis and vortex should be out... has neone heard from either

I applied to Mantis just cause I was bored. Pretty much I said: I like tennis, I play lots of tennis, Mantis strings=good (I've never used Mantis). The guy gave me a 40% off sponsorship thing. So I would just email them again

Does anyone know the requirements for juniors in receiving a full sponsorship for any of the top companies? I know some of the requirements for partial, but not full. Thanks in advance.

Ok thanks man, I was just asking because I might just want to ask to see what they offer and weigh my options because I like my racket and string now, but getting a discount is always helpful. Also, does anyone know about tecnifibre? And can you just get a string sponsorship with them?

What kind of racket do you use now? I have talked to technifibre, and they have gotten a lot stricter on their requirements. A couple years ago apparantly if you could hit the ball you would get a sponsorship from them. Technifibre now requires top 300 in the nation (US). Actually, here is the email the rep sent me.

Thanks for your request, we greatly appreciate your inquiry for the Tecnifibre USA Team Program. Here are the details and requirements (which is a preferred player pricing sponsorship):

Requirements: Who qualifies?

Junior players with a top 300 USTA National ranking
NCAA Division I, II, and III college players and coaches
NAIA college players and coaches
NJCAA Top 15 ranked college team members and coaches
Adult players with a top 25 national ranking
Adult players with a top 5 ranking in their section
USPTA and PTR certified teaching professionals with current status

Yeah. If you play college just about everywhere will give you a deal.

Ok good to know thanks for your information. Do clothing companies think the same way or do they stop giving sponsorships when kids go to college?

I'm sure they do. Just keep in mind that your school will have some kind of deal so you'll only have to worry about the off season.

Maybe I should email them again, if I do, I'd totally mention your friend so he gets points for more stuff, or however it works, if he wants. Just PM me.

Thanks again, and you should wait til you get to the college before you tell them you are o the team right? It wouldnt work if you tell them you are going to play at a certain place before you go there, right?

Im a senior right now and ive been accepted to a couple schools i could play at, but i have not decided yet so I doubt it would work. Ill wait til i choose where I am going to go, also would it be the same for rackets also you think?

my last email sent to vortex was november 30th. i just emailed her last night. and she said she was at a tournament and that once she gets back she will look through her emails.lol.

So I searched the thread for vantage stuff, and I noticed that the last info on it was in 2009! So, does anybody know how their sponsorships work?? When will they be accepting forms?? Thanks!

Dunlop is fairly easy to get into. I teach kids voulentarily, i'm an eagle scout and even though i'm not ranked i play and good results in local non usta tourneys so they look at the whole package not just results

I filled out the application for the D-Squad sponsorship, but the form is very basic and I don't know if I will get a reply from it.
Does anyone have a contact email?
I'm going to be playing for Santa Barbara City College next year...do you think I'll get it?

Not that this has something to do with sponsorships. What's the averageNTRP rating that juniors 14 would play in a level 6 turnament.
