I know there was X-men thread but it was for all of exo3 rackets.
Currently, I am demoing new EXO3 tour and demoed most of EXO3 Rackets but Rebel is the only one which I like and I think this racket might be still the best racket for prince EXO3 line. (no wonder why prince did not cut any price on rebels in US.)

Currently I have two Japanese rebel 95, two Japanese Rebel 105 (probably I will buy two more 105-very interesting racket. Thinner beam 21mm, 295g, not too much power:slightly powerful than new EXO3 tour. Etc....) and one rebel team with some customizations.

I got SP opus about 6 weeks ago and now I try to experiment with different stringing option but mainly I will stay with MSV focus hex though

This thread might be good to share some experiments for rebel rackets.
I tried x-men thread but it's too long over 46 pages and it was not exclusively rebel rackets.

I think I will stay with Rebels for a long time ^_^

i hit with a retail 95 a week ago and i still can't shake the sensation of hitting with it. that's what i call a long dwell time. slicing with this frame is heaven. can i be the 1.5th honorary member? i can foresee that the day will come when i switch to it in the future.

Currently rocking 4 Rebs. All leaded up with 8 grams at 3/9.

Currently, all of my racquets have test strings, but my usual set up of choice is Tour Bite 18 mains and Prince Syn Gut Multi 17 (both at 59lbs).

I had dilemma which is the power of 95 racket.
My balls land short (near service line). That's the reason I got 105. Love the power (land near baseline all the time but 95 has better control). I usually strung at 60 but recently I lowered one racket to 48lbs and I noticed more power though.
People claimed that higher tension has less spin but I feel opposite
what is the best way to increase power on rebel 95 (stringing or string option???).

we should be called the rebel alliance since many of our fellow x-men have suffered through another round of overexposure to radiation and the rest are looking to join the brotherhood of mutants soon.

Try a hybrid set up. You'll definitely get some more power.

I am new to stringing world ^_^
any recommendation?
I will keep use MSV focus hex so should it be main or cross ?
And the other should be synthetic? How about gosen micro sheep?

Thanks! Definitely dont use Black Code, I hate black code with it, Alu Power is the best with it that I have tried so far.

Alu power is twice expensive than MSV..... I am curious though.

wait! you have Asian blx?
Recently I hit us version of BLX briefly and I hit so well with it. I was a little surprised that soft (or muted) feeling of the racket (maybe it might be string or weight of racket:confused:.....). the weight was too heavy though then I was thinking that I might like Asian blx hahaha.

I've never thought I will like fed racket ^_^
I might buy used Asian blx for fun when my wife will travel to Asia in this summer. it might be funny to hit two hand backhand with the racket haha.

Do you like Asian BLX?

Yeah I quite like it at a low tension, it currently has Alu Power at 23/21 on it. I could hit some sweet forehands but also some fail one hand backhands haha. Im normally 2 hand backhand. But using the BLX90 a one handed backhand is a must ;)

Start with MSV in the mains (used to be me preferred main string as well), and try a regular ole syn gut in the crosses.

I applaud Prince for keeping the Rebel95 the way it is, for at least another year and not succumbing to the 'norm' nowadays of changing a good thing every two years.

I still have one in my bag and take it out on occasion (ala anton)... this stick (along with the KBlade Tour) feel so natural on my 2hbh.

A question for the 'Rebel Resistance' ( that's what I would've called it ;) ).... how do you keep those bad vibes down? My stick (maybe I'm alone) vibrates quite a bit.... Even with a dampener... maybe there is a certain type of string or tension that helps in this matter.

I haven't had an issue with vibration. However, I typically string with a hybrid set up and use a Pete Sampras O dampener.

I've never had a vibration problem:confused:

A little funny that Prince try to push rebel more in 2011....

I just got two more Japanese Rebel 105.
I had three 105 but my mixed double partner loves the rebel 105 so I sold to her then I bought two ^_^
I was very interested in New EXO3 tour but the racket was not for me.
I am so used to playing with rebels. nothing compare with it (maybe prestige or BLX six one tour ^_^). I think I will stick with rebels for long time.

I'm torn between 3 racquets at the moment. I couldn't believe the pace that I got when unloading on a flat first serve and slice backhand with the Rebel. However, I enjoy the consistency I get when using the Graphite 100. The Head Trisys 260 gave me the old school feel that I enjoy. I'm going to try different string setups to try and nail down what I'm going to use.

Applying a membership.

I've been using Rebel 95 for a year and found out having a hybrid is awesome for this racquet - full multi rendered very low spin. Without a dampener I found the racquet to be vibrating but not a big problem for me.

One thing I've been wondering though, TW listed the racquet specification as 9 pts HL strung and 330 swing weight while the official spec are 14 HL unstrung and 300 SW (here). I measured mine the very same as the official one and only become 12 HL with string attached (without any overgrip).

How about you guys?

I've decided that the Rebel will be my doubles racquet. I enjoy the bombing serves and I'm just so comfortable at net with it. The heft gives me all the stability needed for volleying and the balance makes it easy to react.

I played 3 sets of doubles this weekend and I'm loving my net game with the Rebel. Reflex volleys were no problems and the flat serves were great, I need to have a little more confidence in my second serve so that I'm not afraid of framing a slice or kick serve.

nice PJ how does the beast xp play?

I use MSV hex. only can compare with hex.
beast is a little stiffer than Hex.
it has more power though.
have decent controls.
I played with hex for long period of time and like the string so I don't plan to switch yet.
in my taste, beast should be a little more softer and thinner for me.

kimguroo

The Mickey Mouse dampener kinda takes away the Beast in the racquet

ps. thanks for the welcome. I've had the Rebel for a while, but I've bounced around different racquets before I came to really appreciate the Rebel.

prince should make beast logo dampener. it might be cool.
Actually Mickey dampener works well for me. it does not come off ^_^
tried so many dampener and mickey works best for me.

Although my main sticks are Pure Storm Limiteds, I still keep a Rebel 95 with a leather grip and overgrip in my bag. Hit with it last weekend...great racquet. Has anyone used the port hole grommets? If so, what was the difference?

Big difference is muted feeling which most of people do not like because over 90% of tennis player started playing tennis with traditional rackets.
actually, I started to play with port inserts (o3 tech) so I am more comfortable with muted feeling. Tried hole inserts several times but it's not for me.

Also more sweetspot but does not really notice port has more sweetspot or power than hole inserts.

Hello, I have 2 Rebel 95s, one strung with Tecnifibre NRG2 and second with Alu Rough, both at 57 lbs. Weird thing is that i feel that Alu is more powerful with less feel (?). I would reall like to try out beast xp and some low power multi (cant decide which can be good).

Im wondering where to buy rebel 105, as there none on **** (neither on other global **** sites). I am from Czech Rep...

you only can get rebel 105 at Asian country.
very interesting racket. thinner beam (21mm), 27.25, 16x19, low power compare to other oversize rackets. the power level is similar to exo3 tour.

I've strung 1 Rebel with BHBR 17g(52#) x Klippermate Pearl Zone 16g(54#) and another with Beast XP 17g(52#) x Klippermate Pearl Zone 16g(54#). I'll be hitting them this coming weekend.
