Raonic will play an exo vs. Karlovic, then they'll have a serving contest after their match!

somebody asked ken thomas that the other day, and his answer was that it looks the same it did in 2009 ..... otoh, we havent really gotten a good view IMO b/c of the relative lack of on-court cameras so far this week .... hopefully, there w/b more over the weekend.

anyway, that match had some really fun moments ...
... but now Delpo can concentrate on singles!

I ... am conflicted about this.

I am happy for Milos that he gets to play in his first final.

I'm not sure it will be an even match though. Whoever his opponent is will have had to play a full-out semifinal.

(Okay, okay - I'm also a Polito fan who thinks he will get through the semi but is worried about him not getting a fair shake as he will advance to the final with more of a need to recuperate. :evil: )

Interesting stats. While your numbers for Milos are technically correct, since his birthday is December 27 you're comparing his rankings to someone who had nearly a year more on tour to accumulate points. Delpo's birthday is Sept 23 so he had a lot more tournaments on Jan 1 on a comparative basis. Regardless, they're both wonderful young players and I only hope Milos does as well as Delpo has.

Yep. Better comparison would be looking at where they were on their birthdays. Such as:

When turning 17:
Raonic: 1385
Delpo: 209

18 years old:
Raonic: 915
Delpo: 106

19 years old:
Raonic: 375
Delpo: 50

20 years old:
Raonic: 156
Delpo: 13

21 years old:
Raonic: ???
Delpo: 5

Same story of course really.

Del Potro developed earlier and quicker than most young players do these days.
