Worst thing to happen?

What's the worst thing that's ever happened to you in a tennis match that was NOT your fault?

Mine was today. Was up 5-0 in the first set, playing out of my mind (I basically didn't miss) and was about to close out the first set in a bagel until it hit me. My left knee felt like somebody had stabbed me with a knife. I couldn't WALK without it hurting like hell, let alone serve. So I HAD to take a lot off my first serve so I wouldn't double fault. I won the first set 6-3. Should have 6-0'd first set.

Second set, knee pain got worse. Wind started blowing. HARD. I know he had to play in the wind too, but the wind NEVER WORKED AGAINST HIM. ONLY AGAINST ME. Lost that set 1-6. I couldn't run anything down or get my feet in position in time because of the pain (I'm not making an excuse either. I admit to losing when it's my fault)

Third set, I can't even hit good anymore, but the wind stopped. Everytime I step into the ball it's like my knee is getting shot. He got up quickly 5-2, so I decide, what the hell, let's go for my shots. Ended up winning 2 in a row, down 4-5, but those two games battling through the pain were so taxing on my knee that I couldn't even get to the ball. I lost 6-3, 1-6, 4-6. Really irritating :/

YOu should have retired. It's not worth the risk. You lost anyways.
