Floyd won't even negotiate with Arum or Pacquiao, this is how scared Floyd is about the fight as he knows Pacquiao would knock him out. Floyd's a coward who has handpicked every opponent in his career and ducked and dodged every opponent that could have beat him - Miguel Cotto, Margarito, Paul Williams, Martinez, Casamayor, Vivian Harris. Kostya Tszyu.
Pac Man hasnt exactly been fighting talented fighters recently either.
Both of these guys want to keep winning so that eventually they will make the huge payday.
I think once Floyds legal issues are wrapped up this fight will happen.
LMAO!Nope. Floyd first tried to rush Pac to accept the fight after he beat Cotto in Nov. Floyd demanded Pac accept to fight on March 13 2010. With short recovery time Pac did agree. When Pac agreed Floyd was silent for about two weeks then came out with the drug testing demands. It was all a scam to get out of the fight. He knew Pac wouldn't agree to give blood the day of the fight. Why the hell should he? Floyd wanted to go above the Nevada Commission laws which is basically saying Nevada is corrupt or incompetent.
Then when scientists were brought in to tell Floyd that 14 days was enough to catch Pacquiao if he was cheating, Floyd ducked the fight and biggest payday of his life. After Pac beat Clottey they tried to negotiate again but of course it fell through because Floyd didn't want the fight. HBO said they had negotiations with Floyd's camp but then Floyd camp called HBO's Ross Greenburg a liar and that no negotiations ever took place.
Pac has since agreed to any stupid testing but Floyd won't come to the table and sign the contract. Floyd is clearly a coward here and doesn't want the fight. Floyd also was scared of Miguel Cotto and Margarito and ducked them and when he saw how Pac destroyed them both it put even more fear in his head.
Floyd fake retired so he didn't have to fight pac, now that he is broke and taking huge loans of between 10 and 20 million from his mgr, FLoyd needs to fight again and he wants it to be easy fights, not with Pacquiao.
Floyd has no plans to ever fight Pac, he even said he was hoping Mosley would beat him this past weekend and advised Mosley to go back on PEDS which he accused Mosley of using before they fought last year.
Bottom line is Floyd is a coward and a liar and many people have fallen for his deceptiions. Pac is 100% clean has never tested positive or been linked to anything, and would never shame his people or God by cheating with drugs. he is an amazing fighter, so extraordinary that Floyd Mayweather is walking away from $50 million because he knows he will be knocked out.
If anybody thinks Manny can beat Floyd Mayweather, put down the crack pipe. Manny is an excellent fighter, and the man of the moment. But Floyd Mayweather is unbeaten, is EXTREMELY fast and hard to hit. How can a boxer be scared to fight another man? Are you kidding me? These are guys who have been boxing their whole life, they aren't scared of anybody. Just because you don't LIKE Floyd's personality, don't get confused and think he's gonna get beat. Floyd is either bored, has too much going on or, more than likely, is waiting until the right moment so he can have the MEGA payday of a lifetime. I really really hope this fight happens. I can't wait to see all the Manny lovers crushed.
Here's some advice for you from Wesley Snipes:

I did actually see the Mayweather / Mosley fight. I wouldn't exactly say that Mosley "hurt" Mayweather or was ever in danger of winning. Mayweather always starts "slow" and seems to be feeling out his opponent and trying to understand what strategy they are going to use. As such, he often loses (or nearly loses or draws) the early round(s). He even seems to be willing to take a few punches. In the Mosley fight, after the first round, he never even came close to Mayweather.
I see Mayweather as a "boring" fighter. Much like Roy Jones Jr. was in his prime. Maywether is a very technichal fighter. The contrast in styles between Pac and Mayweather could make for a great fight. The potential is certainly there. Alternatively, Pac could knock Mayweather out in the early rounds. He certainly has the power to do it. If Mayweather has his way, the fight could be a snooze fest with Mayweather defending well and "pointing" Pac round after round (sort of like what Roy Jones Jr. used to do).
Basically, I see the fight as quite even. It would be interesting who would be able to control the style and tempo of the fight. If I were betting, I would usually bet on the defensive fighter (Mayweather) because that style is easier to win with IMO. Boring as hell, but "winning boxing" nonetheless.
^ Was it the second round. I forgot. I just remember that after that punch, Mayweather tightened everything up and just "cruised".
I'm not really sure what is going on to be honest. It looks like he's running but the politics of boxing are complicated and shady of course. Mayweather seems to be more in control of this fight (or at least wants to be). It's hard to guess exactly what is going on.
I respect Mayweather's skill but there's no bigger fool in all of boxing.
And this is why Boxing will continue to die. Two best guys who are around the same weight class will never meet. This is why organizations are so important. As long as everybody has their own promotions their will be guys ducking each other. This is one of the few things MMA has gotten right. Sign everyone to an org and then let the top guys fight each other. Its much easier then the crap boxing does.
Forget outpointing Pac in a fight. IF this fight ever happens, Mayweather just might knock Pac out to teach the world to keep their mouth shut and respect the skills.
I noticed that you did NOT mention Marquez, who Mayweather beat unanimously and who Pac could only manage a split decision against one time and a draw the other.
KevinT:
Whoopty do about Pac's record against the same fighters. I noticed that you did NOT mention Marquez, who Mayweather beat unanimously and who Pac could only manage a split decision against one time and a draw the other. Did that match happen to slip your mind?

I've watched both fight. Pac is darn good. The speed and defense of Mayweather is well well above ANYTHING Pac has ever faced. Anybody has a fighters chance, and I certainly would give Pac some percentage to win, but I would feel confident with money on Mayweather.
If this fight happens, you wait to see what the Vegas odds makers make the fight.
from watching them skip rope, floyd has better "hops" than manny. agree, disagree? floyd has vince carter hops.

Its never going to happen. Better for us all to simply forget about it.
When Money needs Dollars, this match-up will make sense and happen.
I agree - that would be a beautiful thing. Unfortunately, my friends in The Phil say Manny throws his money around like candy too - so he may be looking for one more payday in the future too.I think it would be hilarious when Money is broke for Pac to walk away from boxing and never fight him. After all the crap he was put through to try and make it happen I would never fight him now.
and lennox lewis, though not as classy or great as MM, but still not bad
Just saw a story on one of the UK sites I peruse that claimed he had a very solid net worth.and lennox lewis, though not as classy or great as MM, but still not bad
