join in for the bragging rights in case he 'continues' to do great things in future.
By posting here you can confirm or deny if you are on the bandwagon.

I bandwaggoned Djokovic at the 2007 Rogers cup....was expecting him to beat Roger in 2007 US open. He dissapointed me....and that moment changed me to a ******* and Fedbangonner. SOrry Novak...allways support him but not over Roger.

I've been on the bandwagon for awhile now. He is a great player and the true Nadal and Federer stopper. Nothing brought more joy to me than see that Nadal expression after the match. :)

The bandwagon should have banner on it saying:

"He will be talked about in the same statement as Rod Laver but even Rod Laver couldn't win all matches in one year. So above Laver." -Spider

I'm aboard until Roland Garros final, then ill get off and watch it and my former bandmembers careen off a cliff in 4 tight sets.

I will then take the broken remains of the wagon and rebuild it over a 3 month period and and ride it off into the USO/WTF sunset.

He is my favourite player since he lost his first U.S open final against the cry baby, im in the badwagon since 2007, im really enjoy this momento.

I started to believe in 2008 when he started to really beat guys bad in some sets at 0, 1, and 2, but it has taken longer than expected, was worried he was going to turn out like Murray. But I'm in head first :)

I jumped in 2007 Miami when he easily beat Nadal in straights. I was always hoping for him to own Nadal. He disappointed me for years with his retirements when playing Nadal at FO and Wimbledon, and with choking in places like the Olympics and 2009 Madrid. He finally stopped with that crap and now he can torment Nadal just like Nadal did Federer. Life is good. Vamos Nole!

Speaking of tormenting Nadal, I am really looking forward to Delpo finally getting his health together. 3 straight wins against Nadal in 2009 was epic. Withdrawing from a match in Madrid after easily winning the previous round was NOT. Come on Delpo!

This is one bitter Federer fan with years of frustration bottled up.

I hope Nole is here to stay. If a few others can also get their act together, it's going to be a scintillating season of tennis!

Come on folks, tennis is a one man show from the start of the year and it will continue like that. Djoker will not be beaten anymore, we better come to terms with it.
That is of course, until Donald Young hits his prime.

I still have to pinch myself when I think of Djokovic in 2010 compared to 2011!

Who would have foreseen a year ago what Djokovic would accomplish this year?
True,he got to the final of the USO last year but was beaten quite comfortably by Nadal, the guy he now routinely beats. Last year he won just 2 ATP 500 titles! This year he's won 2 Slams,4 Masters 1000 titles,1 ATP 500 and 1 ATP 250 and we're only half-way through the year!

What a difference a year can make!!!

I don't understand this concept of bandwagoning. I mean aren't we all supporting these players because, you know, they *win*. If not, how would you ever know of them in the first place?

Unless you do well in the sport, you cannot have fans. And the more you succeed, the more fans you have -- simple concept.

Not quite, I am a big fan of Muzza.

I jumped on the bandwagon late in '10 due to being so over "FEDAL!" It was them and only them with a sprinkling of Djokovic! I jumped on board for good when he started beating Nadal on a more regular basis; the only one with 2 "7-match" winning streaks! If not for clay, Nole would actually "own" Nadal; Federer as well of late! It's been inexplicable IMO since most think Nadal's playing better than ever, but has really struggled with Fedovic the last several years! My blog's still out there for people interested; let me know and I'll send the link! :sneaky:

If you're looking for Djokovic fans, I'm in. Not MY favorite player but has always been ONE of my favorite TOP players.

I jumped on the bandwagon in August 2009, to be very specific.

Nadal is playing a different game from what he did in his prime in order to stay competitive and to prolong his career. It's working for him against everyone else not named Djokovic or Federer off clay.

The problem with him against Federer and Djokovic of late is not really his 'new' aggressive game like many on this forum would have you believe. These two are the only ones who can put tremendous pressure on him during matches. Under pressure, he would then revert to playing his old game, which no longer works for him at his age.

If he sticks to playing his 'new' game against Fedovic, he will eventually win against them too. At least split some matches with them. On clay, he still is the king over everyone including Federer and Djokovic.

Ps - do send in the link to your blog. Didn't know you had one for tennis/Djokovic fans.

To be fair, only two people in the world could have believed in 2011 that Djoker would win 16 slams...

I think there's a very important 3rd person who believed it too. Also a member of that family.
Hint: He said "I'm taking you down Roger" into the camera during their first AO encounter. Won their next 3 AO meetings dropping only 1 set.

I got on it in 2007-2008. I have to admit I was disappointed in the 2007 USO final because I thought the new "next great player to take the mantle" had arrived. Then 2008 AO happened and I was like ok I was right, he is the next "best thing"! 2008 was great but I was very sad for him at the Olympics. I thought he was going to win that but the Rafa momentum that year was too much. 2009 was disappointing but was there silver lining in his clay season. I was waiting for the real breakthrough but it was taking too long and then out of nowhere it happened. In 2010, I was this close to saying I was wrong about Djokovic but he completely destroyed those thoughts and his doubters.

Sadly, till this date, 2011 was the last year when a new ATG level talent made a breakthrough.
We are running extremely out of supplies since then

2006 RG-Wimbledon were those first moments I got attached to him.

A lot of players I have become interested in early in their careers didn't become all time greats. But Novak more than made up for that. Too many stunning moments to count.

I probably won't call them ATGs ever though.
Young ATG or great players break through the existing ones, and sideline them to win titles; do not wait for geriatrics to retire....

I think Med will beat one of them in a Slam but I just don't want it to be Djokovic. Lol. Tsitsipas will win a few Slams too. I think those two will be multi Slam champs. I think Med will be an ATG though because he's mentally stronger and can handle adversity, like that NY crowd. Stuff like that catches my eye.

Absolutely, two or three of them will be multi slam champs. It might even be the case that real talent is still struggling to break the seal, flying under the radar & may just do it next season to sideline all of his contemporaries as well...
The real question is, Will they ever achieve the heights of tennis fedalovic achieved in their respective primes?
?!
