Do people not read the thread....Thats not noles racket......I think its 21mm constant beam

"Novak Djokovic's racquet of choice". That's what it clearly says on the link for his racquet... What do you mean that's not his racquet? Isn't 21 mm the beam width I said his racquet was? I'm confused...

????????? The racquet being talked about here looks like the same exact racquet that is listed under the type of racquet that Novak uses. Why are they telling me it's not the same. I can see there is lead tape on Novak's racquet but otherwise it looks exactly the same..?

The paint does. The actual racquet doesn't. The actual racquet is shaped like a Radical MP (strong hint there...).

Just in case you're still confused, he's not using a YOUTEK IG Speed; he's just advertising it.

These are two different issues - you will obviously not play like Federer if you buy his racquet, but the racquet Wilson markets as his is very close if not identical to what he plays with. The racquet Head is selling as Nole's is very different from what he uses, not the same mold.

The paint looks the same. The beam width and throat shape are dead giveaways that the racquet is not a Speed MP.

Pay attention, this next paragraph may be difficult for you to understand.

Pros generally do not use the racquets they advertise. They use things called paint jobs. Their frames have the same paint as retail sticks, but upon closer examination, their frames are different from what they advertise. For instance, Nadal uses the original APD but advertises the APDGT. How can we tell? The cortex on his racquet is painted on. Nole does not use the Speed MP. His beam is thicker and the throat design is different. Andy Murray does not use the Radical Pro, because his racquet has CAP grommets and you cannot CAP a Rad Pro.

Most pros do this very thing. They use whatever racquet they want, but paint it with a new paintjob so racquet companies can sell more frames to ignorant, unsuspecting, uneducated players who want to follow their favorite pro.

I didn't read through this whole thing to see if you already found a way to get some of the Radicals to compare it to, but if you want I could try and send you a ti.radical or i.radical to compare it to.

Thank you for explaining this. To all the other posters who seem to think they know so much about racquet, why don't you try spending your time trying to explain what the OneHander just did, instead of whining about HOW MUCH you know about the pros.. Thanks OneHander..

Just saw a video on how an RDC machine works. The flex process does bend the frame and the strings. The SW process just swings the racquet back and forth three or four times.

It's a pretty neat little machine.

I wish they weren't so expensive! A pro shop I visit frequently lets me use there's, but I wish I had one for home! They are something like 3000-4000 if I remember correctly!

holy lead tape batman

awesome job there fabfed, love to see any info you can give on the racquet without destroying it, looks like another great grab for your collection there.

For those that don't know, collectors items are only valuable in their ORIGINAL form, tampering with anything reduces the price by about 60%

Also if I remember correctly nole uses two overgrips over head calfskin can you confirm that fabled usually you can see by looking at the butcap...

From the closeup handle picture it certainly looks like that this is still the case

Nadal's frame is balanced at 330mm...

Not to argue but IIRC, FabFed's Nadal stick came out at 33.3cm.

He was 33cm at Indian Wells this year so I assume that his HC setup and he goes back to 33.3 or.4 for the clay.

No problem at all :) It makes perfect sense. You need more mass/sw for cc and all top players tweak their racquets for cc season.

It's not trolling, you fool.

If I spent $4,000 on racquet I'd want a forensic analysis of it, and every spec down to the last mm and 0.5g.

Heck, even I measure my racquets down to the mm BP, SW, static weight and everything else down the to nearest 0.5g.

If you've ended up with the World No.1's racquet, the biggest question would have to be "What are the specs?".

That's hardly controversial. Not my fault that the OP has gone hypersensitive at the suggestion of pulling the grips off.

Dude just go buy one and do as you please with it? Did Mum and Daddy ever tell you no? It appears not........

I have a Head Ti Radical and was curious to see what would need to be done to make it djokovic's specs. Here is one combo that seems to work for my racquets starting specifications:

Swingweight seems to fit perfectly with the previously mentioned 371.

My next dilemma is, should I go through with modding it to these specs to see how it plays? :) Its gonna take a lot of lead tape though!
