Hi-
I just picked up a "Classic 7 Pro" "fusion frame".
Someone I know has one that looks the same, but says "C7 pro" "fusion frame"
Anyone know the history of these? Whats the difference? When were they released? What are they made of, any info is appreciated.....
So far I love hitting groundstrokes and volleying with the frame, but havent been able to serve for dear life (though I was playing a dnx 10 MP up til recently which I served well with?.
Thanks much.

Semi-Pro
C7 Pro

98" head
27" in length
12.1oz strung weight
7 pts head light
319 swingweight
62 stiffness
18x20 string pattern
20mm constant beam

There was also C7 Comp (93" head size).

Strange, I got attracted to this racquet, because I can serve with it best. Mine is slightly weighted to 345 g strung.
I rank it higher that C10 Pro, and higher that DNX 10.
It is stiffer than C10 (== better serves and penetration on ground strokes). It is more flexible than DNX 10 (== better feel).

To my best knowledge, there were three different C7 Pros.

1. C7 Comp
Mid size

2. Classic 7 Pro
Red & Black, Midplus, 19mm beam

3. C7 Pro
Red & Black & Yellow, Midplus 20mm beam

I haven't used C7 Comp but once had Classic 7 Pro and C7 Pro. Both are very similar with minor differences. Classic 7 Pro feels a tad firmer and C7 Pro flexier, although beam width is opposite. Both are very nice control racquets. I don't think they are bomb serving machine.

I just weighed my Classic 7 Pro and it weighs 324 with strings, that is 11.35 oz. Though I don't have calipers, the beam measures 21 mm by eye,and I have a good eye for measurement. It is between 1 and 1.1 pts headlight.
I am now even more curious about how many different C7s there may be! The grip on this is a replacement and it looks VERY light i must say, but even still it would only be 11.5 or so with a heavier but standard grip.

I must say it is MUCH easier to swing then the DNX 10 MP I used to own, which felt much heavier then its listed SW. I will do one of the home SW tests in a minute.

In case of curiosity: It now weighs 334 with about 4 grams of spanish cedar strips under the grip for a shape change, and a Gamma Hi-Tec grip, which is heavier than what was on there. A full 1.1 pts HL. Sorry to bore with the details, this is more for my own memory of the thing.

I'm up for selling mine. Let me know if you're interested. It's in great shape; strung with gut.

LafayetteHitter, I just sent you an unrelated email at the same time as you were responding to this thread that I started. Odd. Must be destiny :)

Volkl Attiva pallets fit. They are more square in shape.
