Genius ESPN: high quality prime time matches?

Americans....duh!

Early round primetime usually sucks, either #1 through #5 v. unseeded=blowout or Americans v. anybody=boring(unless it's Blake or Fish).

Extremely high quality Tennis matches from ESPN at prime time.

yesterday's Wozniacki Vs Rus & Djoker Vs Berlocq are instant classics.

Todays Mchale vs Kirilenko & A-rod vs Sock are simply breath taking.

Tommorow we have Stephen Sloane Vs Ivanovic & Djoker vs washed out Davydenko. I might as well watch something else or have a night tennis match with a buddy of mine.

Seems this year is one of the worst in terms of matches scheduled to be televised at night. Don't know who is making the decisions but man its been quite disappointing. I work days and can only catch the action at night. Oh well it is what it is!:(

tomorrow Federer / Cilic will be the match of the day. How that is not a night match is ridiculous. Who wants to see Djokovic going for another triple bagel? BOOOOORING

Davydenko played him well in Montreal and has the game to challenge anyone. It would be a surprise but a welcome one if Davydenko is able to play well.

Would love for Davydenko to turn back the clock a few years and make a run at Djoker. But i dont think it is likely to happen.

Most likely outcome is Djoker will have some fun at expense of Davydenko and we will have another blow out.

Davydenko: What do you want from me? I'm Russian but I am not Safin.

I was gonna mention the same thing, very poor decisions for night matches... Just about any other matches would have been better than the ones they picked.

Penneta vs. Sharapova was a no-brainer for a night match and also Monfils vs. Ferrero yesterday.

Yes, there was a sharp contrast between the spectacular and gripping day matches (a fantastic day of tennis today really) and the totally insipid and one-sided evening session. That's because they go jingoistic to the max instead of picking the matches with most potential.
It comforts me in my decision to never buy a ticket for a night session. The night session is a commercial scam, period.

Most of the matches on center court haven`t been classics, let`s be honest. Two days ago all 5 matches on center court combined took like a half hour more then the Monfils-Ferrero match

I was hoping for Fed/Cilic & Serena/Azarenka night matches. Darn it.

Roddick-Sock was a second round match. People who watch the first three rounds of a tournament like this should not expect art. Read a book today, start watching Sunday.
