Except for saving 4 set points in the 1st, it was a routine straight sets victory.
I forgot my towel and got by with just a small hand towel in my bag. Hot with nice low humidity, I like these conditions.

struggled on the hartru against a respectable 4.5 and lost 1st set 6-2. 2nd set down 5-2 but gasped enough air and thought of Nole. won the 2nd set 7-5.

The Gator and I had a good battle last night. Crazy number of service breaks which is not a recipe for a mikeler win. Lost 5 and 3 in case anyone cares (cough, cough Goran).
Destroyed my 2nd Penn ball in less than a week. Last week was on a crushed forehand return. This week was just on a mishit which is more surprising. I maintain my position that those balls are pure garbage but I guess I'm stuck with them every other match against the Gator.
I also broke a string on the outside of the frame. I damaged the B5E slightly with an awl while stringing, but thought it would be fine considering I've never even broke the string in the bed before. Guess the damage was more than I thought.

Sounds like a few forum members were playing last night. I believe I saw a couple of the points between Bad Call and his victim while I was putting on my shoes. Both players looked good with both guys moving their feet. Power Player I did not see you. I think I saw you a couple of weeks ago though, I was on the court near the wall but you were gone before I could say hi.

I never serve great in the wind but that is my fault for insisting on a high ball toss.

Good result vs gator no doubt... I would be happy with that score on hc not to mention clay. U must do something that bothers him I just could not find that in that 20min it took him to sweep me aside like clay from service line lol
Too much work atm but I wow to come back stronger to play gator when I come back...

Hint hint: Against shorter players like us, get the ball over our head. Low flat shots or slices are right in our strike zone.

I know, those darn Target T-shirts shrink on me over time and get super short. Need to stick with the more expensive brands I suppose. I'd hate to deprive the ladies of seeing my hairy belly though.
Was playing PM yesterday. Afterwards, we both washed off our shoes with the hose sprayer. He did it after me and said that there must be a hole in his shoe because it got all wet. Turns out his shoe had some kind of "vent" in the bottom of it that allowed all the water to get in. Kinda funny.

That cluster could be possibly be through and done DT with by 3, but I know that would probably still rain out OTC for 5 pm.
