Wilson BLX Fierce.

Anyone know anything about this racket? Seems quite interesting as a game improvement racket, specs pretty much identical to the Tidal Wave. Reason I'm asking is because it isnt on Tennis Warehouse. I googled it and a lot of results came up from a lot of stores, but it is difficult to get hold of a proper review. Any thoughts?

I am based in the UK if that helps, may be a UK-only racket, if that is a possibility. It doesnt seem to me to be a special make-up for large consumer chains, price is quite high.

Any opinions would be appreciated.

You would think so, K Fierce FX to BLX Fierce FX, logical.

But then why is it not available at Tennis Warehouse?

btw the pj does look pretty similar to the Surge, especially the use of lime green. imo Surge looks slightly better though.

Anyone else? Is this really such a rare racket? Not very encouraging signs...

All hope is lost. However I still think it is an interesting racket. I'm currently deciding between this and a couple of exo3s. If I get it I'll come back and post my views on how it plays.

Thanks for the help.

My friend just got one, it's very light, feels close to even balance or just a little HL. I did not play with it though as it's way too light for me.

75 GBP seems too high though, he got it for 79 CAD.

From the specs it appears to be 4pt HL, about 10oz strung so not ultra-lightweight. I can get it much cheaper than £75, hence the interest!

Hmm, the racquet he got came pre strung and listed as 269 g, and feels much more HH than my BLX pro open which is 4pt HL strung.

It could be 269g/9.5oz 4pt HL unstrung which would be 10oz, and about 1pt HL strung.

It is supposed to be 269g unstrung, 27.25 inch long, balance point at 330mm which works out at 5pt HL. With the strings, maybe down to 2pt HL.

I own a K Fierce FX which has the following specs:

Headsize: 105
Weight: 9.6 ounces (unstrung)
Balance: 33.3 cm (4Pts HL)
Rec Tension: 53-63lbs
Pattern: 16X19

I just purchased a BLX Fierce FX online, specs look like this:
Headsize: 105
Weight: 9.5 ounces (unstrung)
Balance: 33.0 cm (5Pts HL)
Rec Tension: 53-63lbs
Pattern: 16X19

Hopefully it plays similarly, with better comfort due to the BLX technology.
