Who do you think will win this time around? I've always enjoyed their matches. They are meeting for the 23rd time... :p

Federer in 2.

Will be shocked if Federer wins in 3 or if Roddick wins at all...even though I wish that Roddick could win.

Federer in 3, but I only think it will be 3 because Federer will start hearing Lady Gaga, the shipping forecast, or what he'll be having for dinner in his head when he should be concentrating on holding serve in the second set.

Is it really worth a thread? Even though as a Fed fan I'm rooting for Roddick Fed is going to win pretty easily 6-3 6-3 maybe

heyy no one saw Miami 2008 coming did they?

I think Fed will win but I'm mostly excited just to see these two go at it again as their careers both wind down (Roddick's sadly a bit quicker than Rog)

I hope the "good" Andy R shows up! If he does I'd like to see it go the whole 3 (or is it 5) sets.

Heh. So do I.

I do also think HoodMan has a point; ******** could make a random appearance at any time.

I had the privilege of watching Roger's US Open 4R from a (gifted) courtside box seat, when he had something to galvanize his attention. It continues to boggle my mind that those two personas can co-exist in the same person.

Yeah, it really feels like he has MPD at times T_T

not so sure about that. A two hander is not going to have as much slice as a one handed backhand player.

If Roddick learns to hit good approach shots and stop choking up on his backhand, then I'll consider him losing in 3 sets and not 2.

Miami match was in US and outdoors, this time it is a different territory not in Andy's favour.
Have to agree about the second part, the handshakes between older champions (like Hewitt and Fed) get warmer with each passing year. But the matchup is too predictable: Fed is better than Rod in every aspect of the game, apart from serving maybe (it depends on a day).

This is gonna be a barrel of laughs, two washed up weak era leftovers going at it and displaying something that vaguely resembles tennis.

Novak( "********") reached top 10 more than 4 years ago, so you mean to say where were all "this" guyz 5 years ago, right?

Can't wait for this match to start! Schedule said 19:00 local time, I suppose it was waiting for the 'other swiss(wawrinka)' match to complete...

Roddick challenges on the first point and gets it right. Federer still holds serve though.

I just dont know what Arod can hurt Fed with, unless Fed plays sloppy tennis. Roddick is not going to be able to beat Fed by just getting the ball back, hitting his bh slice and playing defense. Roddick also doesnt seem to attack short balls he gets after his 1st serve and Roger should be able to get a fair amount of 1st serves back in play.

I think if Roddick serves over 65 % he has a very good chance of winning today. Federer's ROS has been more down than up lately.

Roddick races to 40-0 on his serve

Big forehand by Fed and then a big forehand by Roddick on the next point. Haven't seen that in a while from Roddick.
