Good times... got me laughing..
Sorry for the delay Ross,
One word. Power.
Unlike the K95 (which I despised) the BLX has that comfortable feel offered by the n95 yet is much more solid.
The power is noticeable on every shot and yes.. ( it's ok 'cause you got one on the way
) Ross!!!.... it serves better than the n95 (for me anyways). What I like especially is that when using an eastern grip on kickers.. there is plenty of pace.. and maybe... just maybe... more spin than the n95 (at least the balls are hopping up higher). I don't even slow my swing down on 2nd serves.. just toss the ball at 12.. extreme eatsern.. and the BLX offers noticeable 'oomph'... not that the n95 doesn't... but it's addictive with the BLX. Flat serves are as expected (addictive) but I judge a stick on serve by the 2nd kicker.
A nice surprise with the BLX, if you decide to concentrate on placement more than pace... not only do you get outstanding directional control but are pleasently rewarded with some nice power as well... again.. in comparison to the n95... the BLX goes to eleven.
I guess for me, whether I'm striking a flat serve with a continental.. a kicker with an eastern.. or a forehand with a western.. the BLX's efficiency in terms of power potential just simply... stays... at ... eleven.
Plus, the added stiffness adds a touch more spin when compared to the n95.
