G.O.A.T.
The Pumpkins were good live in the 90's
Queen at Live Aid. The owned the whole show, the owned the audience, they owned the entire world.

If you want to see fireworks, feel percussion blast, see lighted guitars, singers lifted into the air, sparklers, rockets shot from the stage, bright flashing lights, confettie everywhere, etc...go see a KISS concert (before they stop performing)

I know right? I don't think I've ever seen anyone suggest another performance at Live Aid was better than theirs.
I completely agree. Pure P'wnage
Queen are a pantomine rockband. It's all about the show, they'll be beatles, stones, Zeppelin bootlegs better than Queen.
A split between Milli Vanilli and Vanilla Ice.

Right, because those groups all have vocalists that can match (or beat) Freddie, and they harmonize better too.
It's a pantomine a big show, yes Freddie Mecury had great vocals but they never wrote anything good. Plus they gave the world 'we are the champions' which is one of the most annoying overplayed songs ever. Something pissed up football fans sing after winning a cup.
Queen are not in the same league as the groups I posted. Not in the same ballpark in terms of songwriting as Macca/Lennon, Jagger/Richards and Page/Plant.

Sheff: You disagree with Neil Young's lyric in Rust Never Sleeps: "It's better to burn out than to fade away..."
Lennon: I hate it. It's better to fade away like an old soldier than to burn out. If he was talking about burning out like Sid Vicious, forget it. I don't appreciate the worship of dead Sid Vicious or of dead James Dean or dead John Wayne. It's the same thing. Making Sid Vicious a hero, Jim Morrison - it's garbage to me. I worship the people who survive - Gloria Swanson, Greta Garbo. They're saying John Wayne conquered cancer - he whipped it like a man. You know, I'm sorry that he died and all that - I'm sorry for his family - but he didn't whip cancer. It whipped him. I don't want Sean worshipping John Wayne or Johnny Rotten or Sid Vicious. What do they teach you? Nothing. Death. Sid Vicious died for what? So that we might rock? I mean, it's garbage you know. If Neil Young admires that sentiment so much, why doesn't he do it? Because he sure as hell faded away and came back many times, like all of us. No, thank you. I'll take the living and the healthy.
look, I know most of you won't have even heard of them, but Powderfinger on their 'Sunsets' farewell tour were pretty damn epic.
20 years of brilliant music, what a way to go..
here is their last live performance of anything, and you bet I was there!

Alice in Chains were known for their live performances. Sounds better than their albums.

In all seriousness though, I was trying to find my favourite RHCP performance, but couldn't pick just one. Always will be one of my favourite live acts, along with Muse.
Live At Leeds from The Who, best live album ever Imho.
The crowd was estimated at around 1.3 million people, this just looks incredible, so much energy and the perfect song to open it. 54million views on youtube!!!! I can't even imagine what it would feel like to go out on stage and rock this crowd, close to feeling like a god.
