What do you think have been the best Barricades so far? I haven't tried the 7s yet but my favorites would be:

1. Barricade 3
2. Barricade 6.0
3. Barricade 2
4. Original Barricade
5. Barricade 5
6. Barricade 4

I think the 3s were the best made out of all. I realize the popularity of the Barricade 2 (considering they're still being sold) but I think the 3s were my favorite.

What do you think?

I think it's too soon for this poll as the 7s have been out less than one month. However, having tried the 5s, 6s and 7s (have only tried my friend's for a couple of games), I'd say I like all three but my favorite for initial feel is the 7. Upper is more flexible, they feel lighter and the front vent seems effective.

I didn't vote because I haven't tried the 7s, but out of all the ones I've used (2, 3, 4, 5, and 6), I like these:

1) 6 - great support, but a little stiff when first putting on, so break-in is needed.

2) 2 - comfortable shoe. I have a pair I use when sending back the warranty/worn out shoes. Less support than the 6s, but feel comfortable when playing.

3) 5/4/3 - I don't remember too much when wearing the 3s and 4s, but my foot is normal width, so I like the 6s and 2s best. I think the 3/4/5 were a bit too wide for my tastes.

The only ones I have not tried are the B1

B7
B5
B2
B3
B4
B6
For me in that order...

The B7 is the best of B5 + B2 -- comfort and Stability + Durability.
The B4 were way to heavy and clunky, felt like cloggs
The B6 was the buggest miss IMO, and they lost a lot of fans to ASICS, Nike, etc. THe B6 was stiff, narrow, too "flat" -- heel and toes at the same level causing some achilels tendon (SP?) issues that I never had with any other shoes but the B4...

people really liked the b5s!? those darn lace holders pop out like crazy and they absolutely SHRED laces. B4 was even worse in that department.

B5 were the best Barricades ever. Very comfortable and solid, with the best support for the foot

I hate 6. It was awful and gave me blisters between toes

I don't know about 7. I will have to get new shoes and I don't know if it will be B7 or Nike

For me

1. B2s - on my last pair currently when I stocked up on the originals.
2. B5s closest to the B2s :)
3. B3 and B4 about the same for me. Got a little too heavy.
4. B6 -bleh
5. Never tried the orginals or B7s

Hoping to try the barricade 7s in the near future. I have two pairs of breathe 2k10's to wear out though, and I'm not even playing tennis at the moment. I'll have to see how they fit before buying, but I'm totally digging the black and orange colorway.

Definitely think that the 4's were the best looking. Still have a pair of the silver+black that I only use on special occasions.

B7 is pretty good after the break in. However the shoe is very "plastic" and the breathability is not the best if you play in a hot and humid place. B5 in the regard is better.

And no love for the B8 I guess.

You guess wrong. The B8 wasn't out in 2012 when this thread began.

I am seeing 2 different Barricade 8+ styles lately. One with the triangle patterned upper and the other with circle patterned upper materials (in the online retail giant site, for example). Any insights?

In a website the white ones with circles pattern are called "Adipower Barricade 8+ Synthetic Men black/grey " they have the word "Synthetic" added the triangular patter it does not have it.....what´s the difference in the shoe?

Are they completely different?

I'm SO happy the V's are back. Just bought 3 pairs. Seriously considering stocking up with a lifetime supply out of fear they will drop out of production again.

I wore version II's forever, then those went out of production, and all adidas had for me was 6-7-8 which were painfully unwearable for me. Uppers way too stiff.

But I'm finding out that the V's offer the same comfortable, glove like feel as the II's and no break in period needed.

I also have 3 pairs, though, seems like one of them is the ORIGINAL, not re-issue (white with black stripes) setup found on e Bay brand new.
However, I just got me the 2015s to try and will try them on the court for the first time this weekend...

I haven't tried the rest. 7's seem to blend the 5 and 3 into a good balance. In fact I have stocked up on them because these shoes are so versatile and can take a beating. I wear them obviously to tennis, but also use them for any court sport as well as city bicycling. The 3's were money too, but they got a little soft in the forefoot.

So far, they are awesome. No toe jamming, and definitely lighter feel. Very comfortable, too.
As for the looks, I think they look great. The only thing I do not like is the chrome piece on the bottom that came with the purple ones... Would have been better in matte paint...
The fit is similar to 5's/7's - snug and secure.
