Why not just use a couple of overgrips instead of duct tape?

Why not by a thicker replacement grip and an overgrip? BUt if you really insist on the duct tape then i would wrap it like 4 or 5 times.
Depending on your personal preference you can put an overgrip but thicken the overlay a bit so that it bulks up a bit more along the handle. You get a bit more traction which is close to your size. Just be careful that you might get blisters if your hands haven't been conditioned with calluses by now.

Only thing to do is finding out how thick the tape in question is. The size will increase by about:
thickness x 2 x Pi
for each layer of tape
You're looking for an increase in diameter of 1/8 inches, or 3,175 mm. Find out how much each layer adds and divide 3,175 mm by this amount to get the magic number of layers.
I tried that and found out that my racquet would be too head light.

In case you didn't know, TW sells heat-shrink sleeves to increase grips by 1/2 or a full size. The latter sleeve is black and adds around 1/2 oz.
The sleeve will probably round out the handle's bevels less than duct tape or an overwrap would.

Couple bucks on TW website for the sleeves and a heatgun...much better option than duct tape.

Kare's in Thailand and I just met him today.
He has a project to build a 4 3/8 mold for his own personal use and he happens to have a spare 4 1/4 racket that he uses often enough too. That's why he wants to increase the grip size and yet wants to maintain some balance.
Anyhow, I have a totally bashed-up Wilson 4 3/8, gave him the stick remains and it's all settled. I'll probably be using his service for grip pallets in the future, too.

Don't wrap it like a grip--instead cut strips to lay on lengthwise, one for each facet.
If you do it the first way--like a grip, you'll lose the bevels.
