I am eager to hear what will develop in the coming days. They were SO bad it was unbelievable. And it seemed like it was the worst in the FINALS! There needs to be some firing done.
Well.. as a Nadal fan you shouldnt complaint... 90% of the bad calls were against Nole... but that Hawkeye chalenge on his own serve By Saint Rafa was the dooshiest i have seen in my whole life!!!
Spoken like a true Nadal fan.
lines people and umpires were ****-poor all tournament. The only on-court staff that were superb were probably the ball kids.
Linesman were drunk.
Were they still thinking about Azarenka's shorts?
They were drunk from day one?
now now... Bartelby...
here : you must need some :
it wont help your eyes, since you cant read complete posts, but will definitely help your butt rash...
Funny, I went to the Murray v Joker match on friday and one of the things I was thinking during the match was how great the linesmen and women were. I can only recall them being wrong once whenever there was a challenge.
Looking at them today, they must have had a few drinks before the match because the line umpiring was woeful!
More Nadal love and I got to the butt end of your humour.

Seems I missed that point. What happened there?
1) Rafa serves.
2) Djokovic blasts a return winner past Rafa.
3) Rafa looks towards his box.
4) Toni gives him a sign, then pretends he scratched his ear.
5) Nadal challenges his own serve in hope that it was out and he has a second serve.
6) It clipped the line. Point, Djokovic.
The look on Djokovic's face was priceless, he simply didn't see that coming.
The famous chacha-bhatija duo.Indeed a priceless act. I saw Tony giving coaching signals on few occasions today.
This uncle-nephew team does on court coaching. Somebody needs to put a camera on Tony for a full match and am sure, we will have lots of things to talk about.
lines people were bad. there was one bad umpire.

Linespeople weren't up to scratch, making bad calls on crucial points and interrupting the flow of the game. Yeah, the players can challenge, but being dominant mid-rally then having to receive a first serve again because a linesperson screwed up... it's not exactly a positive outcome. I remember one point where Rafa was up 30-0 last night in the last set and the linesperson interrupted an epic rally with an incorrect call, and then Djokovic came back and I think broke serve when it looked likely that Rafa was going to win the point. These things shouldn't be happening.
Pascal Maria was great though, I thought.
The famous chacha-bhatija duo.
Telling his player to make a challenge. Wow, what a cheater.I saw Tony giving coaching signals on few occassions today.
That could happen if you track the ball through the air and then try to see where it lands in relation to the line. But line judges are trained to get their eyes fixed on the line before the ball arrives. This technique allows for the greatest accuracy possible. Pro tennis has to address the problem of tennis officials being severely underpaid and working tremendously long hours.Having been to several pro tournaments over the years, I can attest to just how hard it is to watch the ball bounce close to the line and get a good read on whether its in or out.
I've sat right down the service line and baseline and it is hard to see because the ball hits so quickly.
What happens is you start anticipating where you think the ball is going to land rather than actually see it hit. A ball will be traveling out, you're sure of it, then all the sudden it drops in two inches in front of the line. I think that happens to these line judges too.
After sitting on the baseline at a tournament I learned right then and there that line calling was not a job I'd ever be competent at.

That was pretty hilarious. I didn't think you could do that though. Even Novak shot him a look like really man?
Obviously Rafa missed some of the signals, else he would have won decisively.I saw Tony giving coaching signals on few occasions today.
Neither did I.
Still, pretty smart considering the fact that Djokovic had just hit a winner off his first serve.

smart? lol...what a moron
is there any other reason for him to challenge?
would he have challenged if the return was out?
don't tell he just challenge for the heck of it
Just out of curiosity, if a player hits a serve that he thinks is out, and is preparing to hit a second serve, and his opponent drills a return by him, why does it make him a moron to challenge his serve?
