Which set at 2012 AO final between Channel Slam legend Rafael Nadal and Serbian prankster Novak Djokovic was higher level of tennis, set 4 or set 5?

Djokovic was fatigued the whole match and didn't perform that well, probably at 50%. Nadal's level of play was his highest ever during that match. Especially in the fifth set.

Nadal stopped attacking in the 5th set when the Serbian prankster started to hit the canvas, so I would have to say the 4th set was a lot more impressive from Nadal than the wacky 5th set.

LOL Nadal was 1,5 hrs longer on the court than Djokovic.
Those "Djokovic was fatigued" clowns just want to minimize Nadal's huge comback and fight.

Đoković came back from the dead in the 5th.

For us Nadal fans, set 4 was higher level, but perhaps for Nole fans it was the fifth. The fifth set was torture, seeing Rafa doing a Roger.

You take comfort in the fact that Djokovic fell over, Novak fans will take comfort that he's got the title. He also fell the the ground when he won the title. Nadal fell down when he managed to steal the 4th set. Doesn't matter if you fall, we all know who was the last man standing

Btw, you give yourself away as being Bullzilla with your pointless pictures of your idol.

Except he didn't really. Nole just took it away from Ralph. The backhand miss only made it 30-30, after that Nole played brilliantly to break and just kept piling on the pressure with incredible returns and super solid play to eventually break again. While serving for the match Nadal was titanic but Nole still had enough to come through in the end.

3rd set was higher level.

Because when Novak plays his very best, Nadal can do nothing but bend over to his lord.

SET 4....especially the tiebreak. I never seen Nadal get to many balls......he was redlining his retrieving....and it cost him in the 5th set!

Rafa was not doing roger to himself but it was just happening with him !!

Thought the quality of tennis was better in the 4th.

But that 5th set was crazy. The most memorable thing about this match was the physicality between the two players and I wont forget how both their 'never say die' attitudes were demonstrated in that set.

I remember near the beginning of the 5th set an uber rocket forehand from Nadal cc for a winner which was absolutely brutal! It stood out so vividly too as he hit a lot less forehand winners than Djokovic so to see he could occasionally produce one was pleasant.

The fourth. Rafa's desire to push himself was palpable during the fourth set. It resembled the 2011 USO third set, only with arguably higher stakes.

The fifth boiled down to Nole holding onto optimism until Rafa volleying up the line at 30-15, 4-2, finally blinked. Nole broke, then held authoritatively. The pressure turned back on Rafa--Nole then never tightened but crossed the finish line steadily.

Typical poor comprehension skills. I bring up Djok falling over because I'm pointing out that Djok sucked Nadal in with another dramatization, leading to Nadal taking the foot off the gas and reverting back to defensively extending the point and expecting Djok to wilt. The result of Djok falling over was Nadal going defensive. So Djok hitting the canvas actually won him the championship. Not sure how many other ways I can explain it.

The AO 5th set was 7-5. Whereas at the AO the 4th set was 6-1 and Nadal was exhausted (because he couldn't train after Wimbledon due to his foot injury and was underdone, which he spoke of just before the USO began).

And I don't think Nadal looked tired at all in the AO final 5th set.

Was that the forehand winner whereby Nadal served and Djok returned it with interest and Nadal fell back slightly and hit an off-forehand for an acute angle clean winner? Actually not 100% sure whether that was 4th set or 5th set, but it was the weirdest shot of the match.

I suggest we allow NSK and his various accounts (past and present) to discuss this important issue with each other, and not interrupt them.

Set number 4, in my opinion :D
