I was at the annual usta captain's ball last night dancing and drinking and generally being a good fellow and I noticed that in the middle of my joyful celebrations I was the only one GHOATing.

I felt alone, listless, alienated by the lack of understanding of the beauty of the GHOAT.

Done. Devastated. Out.

In cab now on 8th and 42nd. GHOATing Night Ranger. So many hot women in the city tonight. All of them single. All of them admire the Black GHOAT with neon Swoosh.

Once I found out about this hat,......this GHOAT, my tennis knowledge grew exponentially. I can only wait for the day I get my hands on one. I frequent many a Nike outlet, auction site, and precious metal depository searching for the legendary GHOAT. Alas, my search continues. My level of tennis knowledge is stale for now, until I grasp that velcro strap and tighten it to my head my journey extends...

I wish is was only a hat, but is is far more than that. Those who know, know.

It's not just a hat (or cap as others have reminded us in the past)...it's a very practical, functional bonding symbol of our Ethernet-based brohood. It looks good on just about every shape of melon imaginable. It wicks salty sweat away from your eyes and cools the dome when the moisture traps in its vented crown panels. It almost washes and wears itself...a little soapy h2o, a rinse and a hang-dry and the GHOAT is good to go again.

What you're missing in this thread is the bond the GHOATherd has formed. Just because of a hat. You probably never read the original deceased thread either. We still poast about a product that Schnike has stupidly decided to discontinue. We trade thoughts and experiences worth sharing...just because of a hat. Believe what you want. But to us, it's a little more.

Cracked open the GHOAT drawer for a Gentleman. Picked up 2 un-used white Berd GHOATs with tags still on them. Took one out. Clipped off the $9.99 tag. Felt a tinge of sadness to watch its value plummet. Put it on my head and felt a rush of pure GHOATness literally rip my fuchen face off. So we went to Lucy's and I was GHOATing a new Berd GHOAT and I felt the arm of pure thuggery steal my 2 Blackberrys off the chair next to me but did not see it. I saw one of the dudes go down the stairs. I was so distracted that I put it out of my mind. I didn't just get robbed. I'm GHOATing like Isner, but Berdych style. So we leave the restaraunt and I'm panicking outside for my BBs. Suddenly one of the dudes comes outside and hands me mah phones.

Its like he robbed me but decided Blackberries suck and felt bad and gave them back.

I'm still GHOATing.

Franco Davin is known to GHOAT regularly. The one he wore that I covet the most and have never seen in action by a player was a coffee-colored GHOAT. The blue Bri-Guy GHOAT pictured reminds me of the impulse for kleptomania resisted by me last winter when Jack Sock (prior to his Adidas conversion) left one hanging on his bag while visiting the physio for a post-match rub. Had I known he would go three-stripes on us...well, you never know.

I'm GHOATing the Gentleman at New York Supreme Court right now. Bailiff said to take off the GHOAT when I entered the courtroom. I said but sir its a GHOAT. He said in that case you may keep it on.

Alas, my safari to the local Schnike outlet did not net any GHOATs but I did pick up a couple of pair of my cherished Basketball Elite socks (my choice as GSOAT).

Also, I bought two domecovers that will allow me to rest from time to time my precious Workhorse GHOATs. One is a Schnike running cap...style #257859. I got it in color #402, a royal Blue tone. It has nice mesh venting on the sides and where the bill meets the crown. The Dri-Fit material is more like the FeatherLight but has much more mesh to allow "breathing". The bill's underside is black so there will be no glare. I will test it soon and report back.

The other lid is an UnderArmour Heatgear cap in a charcoal plaid (understated) that will help on windy days...it has spandex in the band and comes in two sizes (at least) M/L which is snug on my large melon and a roomier L/XL for you big domers. I got it at Lids. It was pricier but won't fly away in gusty weather. Style #20262901 Attain Plaid Black/Graphite. I may have maintenance problems as this has a traditional hard bill so I don't know if it washes as easily as the GHOATs. Less venting too.

^ I just went to the local schnike outlet and scored some Elite low socks (also my choice as GSOAT). Looked for the trend woven but no dice. The Elight crews are nice and can be found but the Elite lows are nearly unfindable around here. I got the last pair in my size. Let us know about that new schnike running cap.

Ah, the daybreak hat. I have a White one. Doesn't look too stylish on, but it performs really well on hot days. Has the sweat absorbing material on the bill too like the GHOAT (though it is no GHOAT) and, as you say, much more ventilation than the Featherlight. What was the reduced price on that and the Elite crews, if you don't mind me asking?

The cap was reduced ($15) but there are no discounts on the socks...$14/pair but they outlast any socks I've ever worn and oh so cushiony on my Neanderthal aircraft-carrier-sized feet. I get the 12-15 size.

A bit! They have torn my love away from the aerostorms, just too much comfort even with poly. The Aerostorms are comfortable of course, but even with a hybrid they are a bit hard on the arm. The 200's are just pure butter though! I'm still testing the waters with the EX03 Blacks, but they are just so ridiculously powerful it's hard to try and compare the 2 frames. :)

People the Isner style GHOAT will win you matches. I lost the first set of my USTA regional Semi in a tiebreak. I was serving horridly GHOATing Berdy style, then I slipped the hat back and won 6-2, 10-6 in the super tiebreak.

From now on I will only GHOAT the izzy, shame he left our sacred herd. (although the croc brought him a win against roger.)

Congrats on a hard-fought win. But I'm sticking Berdych. Going Isner does not allow enough sun blocking or sweat absorption for me.

If the hat is re-released, they should market the two ways it can be worn as another Unique Selling Point. Something along the lines of, "No other hat is reversible," though the lawyers may have a few issues with that claim.

Let's get Murray in for some ultra-PED testing. It seems impossible he was able to beat a PEH (Performance Enhancing Hat)Berdych in straight sets today without doing something illegal.

Look at that backhand. It's so penetrating that nothing can stop it being a winner and he hasn't even hit it yet. How did he possibly lose? My guess is he had the rear velcro strap on a touch too tight. If he gets that right and keepsWhite/Red GHOATing, my instinct says he'll go unbeaten for the rest of 2012.

Not to ruin what would surely be a groundbreaking moment, but she's actually wearing the Nike Women's New Basic Feather Light hat. At first glance I thought it was the GHOAT as well.

No one in the gym can appreciate a Nano GHOAT + Nano WB session. I feel stupid for thinking this WB will ever be appreciated for what it is: Immortal Nano WB that transforms 4.0 tentative hack players into top tier 4.5 GOATness.

Isner give us your GHOATs you gator blob.

inspired by GHOAT guru Dali, I donned the nano and my asics gel noosa tri 6s and hit the gym with the fantasy goddess and put in 4 miles on the elliptical whilst AC/DC "the girls got rythm" rocked from my ear buds. the nano did not break a sweat while my C9 shirt was soaked. It's magical.....

I continued the nano vibe today, nano GHOATed in 6-2, 6-3 USTA win. Isner hybrid, wore the croc shirt & shorts, but I refuse to sport the crap croc lid.
