Nadal: "I'm happy with my progress"

Maybe so,but it's the truth. He's a walking disaster everytime he takes the court, and if he's happy about that then he needs to take a hike back to Mallorca and stay there. There's no point in continuing to play if he's truly happy about his level right now as it is some of the worst tennis he has ever played.
After reading the first two posts in this thread, I instantly thought of you Clarky. Your posts are affecting Rafa. Messing, actually.

Lol. Maybe Nadal stayed drunk during the whole tournament or something. That would explain his crappy tennis and fuzzy memory. He's totally losing it,imo.

So Ralph lost due to partying, now?

Honestly I think Rafa is in panic mode and trying no to show it.

This goes beyond losing to Fed Sunday and more into his entire mental state right now.

I'd say it could be similar to what began to happen to Roger in mid 08 - 09. Their games are not necessarily different or declining but its more that the rest of the field is adapting faster than they can change.

Rafa's game is still just as potent as it was in 2010 but I think now the other top guys are figuring out way to deal with it before Rafa can change/improve. It making Rafa panic a little just like we say Fed melted down a few times back in 08/09.

early onset dementia?

Seriously though, probably still in shock he lost to Fed and blew an opportunity to gain some ground on Djoker.

That is not weird. Everyone has these moments. It happens when brain is tired/distracted. He probably was still thinking about the match or his mind was tired because of the overdrive that it was subjected to during the match, figuring out a way to readjust to beat Federer as what has worked all these years was not working.

TheTruth

G.O.A.T.
TheTruth, FWIW i have found Cup to in general be one of the better Fed fans on this forum. But as it happens so often on this forum, it only takes a couple of trouble makers like volley king or nadalwon2012 to polarize people. Then what ends up happening in the heat of the discussion is that you're lumped into categories - you're either for-fed or anti-fed. People on this forum have a strange lack of ability to ignire a troll post even from someone who THEY KNOW is a troll. They must have the last word. " Oh I showed that troll" - really? Because from where I see it, you just wasted 3 hours of your life talking to an idiot.

The very fact that some fed fans think the fed fan base is more rational is a joke. Pure logic would dictate that the same proportion of any fan base is irrational.anyone who can't see that is biased.

You're right.

And I agree about Cup as well. Sometimes he gets caught up in the moment, (as do I), but generally I think Cup is pretty decent too.

Your last sentence sums it up nicely. I'll have to remember that.

This may be the front page of The Times on the Election day of 2010 in the UK, but in response to Nadal saying he's 'happy with [his] progress' kind of reminds me of that cover involving a cartoon with Gordon Brown and a mirror...
