Wow, 32 seemed, and seems, extremely low. I was thinking of going from 57 lbs to 50, the low end of recommended tension. Remember, I'm not as strong as you and don't have your racquet speed, either. I have one more package of the Twist (only sold by reel now on TW) and might try that at - gulp - 48 to see what happens. I also ordered some other types of string yesterday and will try those.
My stringer says the racquets are still in excellent shape, BTW, and they felt pretty good yesterday against the wall and on serves. We'll see how they do in a real match this afternoon.
I really do appreciate your advice; you know much more about strings and spin than I. Hope I'm not bothering you.
No problem! Yeah it was hard to put my mind around trying a string tension that low as well, but with the stiffness of poly strings, it's actually a good match. 48-57 lbs might work well too. Weird thing is that I probably feel I get more control and power from 32 lbs than I do from 48-52 lb. tension range. I figure with your tricky, all court game that a low tension could be a good fit. Let me know what you think! Test it out against Hollywood!
