Kim, oh Kim what color number are this blue and the red swoosh he was wearing up until now? Anybody check the outlets lately to see if any GHOATs have shown up??

Will I do? Nike made a White/Green Abyss version of the GHOAT. Probably what Berdych is wearing. I turned it on three games into the second set and it looked more black, but I assume it was made darker by sweat. I'm not sure of the color codes off the top of my head, but they have not been
available at any outlets. The green abyss is new production, though, so thats a good sign.
The red swoosh was the GHOAT made for FO 2011.

You did just fine, Brian........I thought about you right after I posted that& I should have said Kim or Brian!! The swoosh on Berdych's GHOAT matched his shirt and wristband at the start of the match.

Im actually considering moving some of mine and want to ask a fair price. But I appreciate that!
So it looks like Nike is going to release a new cap this summer called the "Court Tennis Cap" with the Nike Tennis Court logo on the front. The description sounds different ahn the featherlight hat that they have now, so hopefully it will be closer to the Trend Woven hat...

News of this "new production" GHOAT will lead me on a GHOATsafari to my local Schnike outlets. It's been so long since I hunted the near-extinct creature...what is the product code #? Also, is there a product code yet for the Court Tennis Cap that has been brought up in another post?

TWE I believe has the the Court Tennis cap..there is a summer version and a regular version.

The Court Tennis Cap is nuthin but a crappy featherlite. Not a GHOAT, not even close.
Why Nike does not make the GHOAT available to the masses I have no idea. It's the marketing blunder of a lifetime.
Well the court Tennis cap I saw in a catalog looked different, but then again until you see it in person you never know. I would like to pick up at least one more GHOAT so I can swap it with my white/obsidian, but I guess I'll have to really look for one as they are harder and harder to find now.

Watching the replay of the Murray/Tipsy match.......Lendl has on one of these Court Tennis caps; it's just a featherlight with the court logo on it instead of the swoosh

You are correct.
I purchased a blue one about 6 months ago off the Bay, thinking it would somehow be different than the featherbrick but similar to the ghoat..
it wasn't.
The material seems like it would be more breatheable than the FL however. (Never wore it- shipped back to the seller).

24 days of above average temps in Central Florida (90 instead of 80) led me to give my Workhorse GHOATs a day off and a warm, sudsy bath. Look as good as Day One. Gawd, I luv my GHOATs!

^^ yeah I commented on the grand slam in the deleted GHOAT thread but the sizing mechanism is one of the worst designs ever created...totally blows. But yes, the materials are strikingly similar but adjusting the sizing of these hats quickly on the court or before is just a ROYAL PITA.

I wonder how much interest would have to be there for Nike to re-release it. I know there's heavy interest here and I have seen petitions in the past, but for whatever reason they (Nike) won't sell it. I wish they would because Featherlights are stupid looking with the black trim BS that runs all around the hat. Plus it has a weird cut around wear your ears are when you wear the hat.
I agree with the comments above by aceroberts13. The Featherlights just don't cut it. Can't stand the black trim and strange shape of the hat around the ear. They are functional for court use, but you certainly wouldn't want to wear it elsewhere. I tried a few local Nike factory stores in the Chicago area, and no GHOATs to be found. Hope some surface in the future
I'm not sure how much interest there would need to be, but everyone on here should "like" Nike Tennis on Facebook and harrass them about it..maybe they'll realize what they're missing out on or maybe offer them to us since we're diehard fans? Doubtful, but one can dream.

With my White, Black and Nano ghoats endangered and Nike insulting us by rebadging a Featherlight as a tennis hat, I got my hands on some of the Adidas white/high energy (orange) Climalite has that Murray has worn throughout 2012.
They look, fit and feel great, very light with solid breathability and wicking. It's 100% nylon so different to other Climalite hats and similar in composition to the Nike PE wristbands and certain high end shirts. It still ranks behind the Ghoat (misses the extra mesh vents and special brim absorber) but I'm pleased Adidas have offered us a credible alternative due to Nike's decision to fob us off with trash bags that either don't breathe or don't fit correctly.

BTW GHOATherders...forgive me for my extended absence from this thread...I have been abusing my workhorseGHOATs on a daily basis during my cycling through Orlando's turistas. Last night's GHOAT was ridden hard and put away wet, so I end this message to give him and his twin bro a good GHOATbath. My Nike Sundowner may have to sub in...not a bad fill-in but just not a GHOAT.
