Looks like Stan will be rocking a new PJ soon.

Yeah he's been given the 97 tour selling job.....still the 95 tho eh.

It also looks like the wide tk57 pallets.....bugger wish i had them. (Maybe not the front one looks narrower)

Yonex leather too. Is that tape around the buttcap to protect or flare cap a touch??

^Nice find Meaghs!

Beam looks thicker than 19mm at throat. I'm assuming the tape might be to flare that buttcap out, looks pretty thick.

Good call about the pallets, wonder if this is the new yonex leather grip?

Thanks Klem but thats MurrayFan's credit.....

Yeah I added a thick piece of leather to the top bevel to give my fingers a place to sit. Incredibly narrow Yonex buttcaps.

I had my eyes on a particular 95D but snagged it for 91+change shipped so it waaasn't me ;). I also bought one today from my buddy's place. It's amazing the quality of these frames. I specced 3 of them on the RDC unstrung.

Weight (g): 320, 322, 320
BalanceL 31.25cm all three
Unstrung Stiffness: 69, 69, 68
SW: I don't remember this one exactly but I think it was about 320 each

Are those 95D's specs? I'm surprised they are so stiff as TW measured them at 63

Great find!

Looks like there's some lead tape along the sides too

Yup, if you look closely, you can read the "yonex" and see their icon.

You have to remember that these frames are brand spanking new out of the box unstrung and never been hit. The stiffness will naturally be higher. Once they get strung it'll drop a bit and after a week of hitting they should settle. I'll take readings later on too.

Most of the frames I've measured recently are all slightly stiffer than what they claim; not quite 6 points stiffer but 2-3 points, yeah

Press the link above from murrayfan1 you can click on the image to see full size....

The lead tape I expect runs under the bumper from 12 right down to 4&8 like a cap grommet.

They look very nice, I will certainly have a looksy.....

Meaghan... you can actually see it in the image above running from each of the corners of the "isometric shapes" down.

Yeah I was pointing out that the original link above shows the image actual size if you float over the image its very easy to see then.

Big M on the diary thread has already playtested them but is keeping stum...

Hello mate, I think you miss my post from the page before this one. Anyhow, use Wilson Natural gut 16., cause I dont think at this point any hybrid will help.

Here is the post...http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showpost.php?p=6491710&postcount=42

And even with this recommendation I will said to rest...well you know better than me about it since you have surgery.
Best of luck!!!

What do you usually play with and at what tension?

Been playing for over 25 yrs now on and off, 5.0 level and to be honest I think I have fairly good strokes and mechanics....I don't know what is going on Ike I said ts the first time I have pain in that particular part of the elbow and believe me when I say that I have tried too many racquets in the last 4 yrs....very strange.

Have the same experience as you junkie love the racket but it definitely does not like my arm or vice versa. Too bad since I play really really good with it...
I actually had pure drive plus next to it and I took it right after my arm started bothering me and believ it or not it actually felt comfortable next to 95d something is up I believe 95d tw flex numbers are way of...I feels closer to high 60 like 68 69 or so than 63

The three I put on the rdc brand new, unstrung, were @ 69. The strung demo @ 66 if I remember correctly

Ive been testing a number of poly hybrids with a little influence from the guys at guts and glory tennis (google~ Full Poly Hybrids…The Next Frontier)

What Ive found when stringing a thicker shaped main string and a softer smooth thinner cross at the same tension is superb playability and long lasting performance. To this date Ive only compared a few set ups with my main performer being Tour Bite 1.25/Lux TiMO 1.10.

Recently strung BHB7 1.25/Mosquito Bite 1.16 will some great results in the vc95d that may have knocked the TB set up off its pedestal. The set up really suited the racket :)

Worth a look if you are a full poly player....

Although Yonex bags are really nice, they don't come with the climate control racquet pocket that other brands have. That was the only thing that kept me away from getting a Yonex bag.

I would preferrably want the full silver lining....although on one of the pics of this bag it shows a red thermal lining I wondered whether that was what I was after???
Meaghan you are on fire! Vc95 for life lol.
haha :)

Add me to the club. I demo'ed the 95d last week and it just clicked. What a great stick. I was thinking of waiting to see how the 97t turns out but there's something about the 95d that just works. Meaghan, I'm intrigued by your poly hybrid setup with bhb7 and mosquito bite. I was thinking of using a multi with bhb7 but will give your setup a try.

Great stuff. The polys work better together and Im sure that this adds to its longevity (also less friction for the main sliding down the thinner smooth cross ???) and these days some of these co polys are as soft if not softer than many synthetics.

BHB7 is a really spinny string, I personally found it quite plush for a plasticky string. I dont like it as much as the predictable Tour Bite but with Mosquito Bite they seem to play off each other real well. I will probably try TB with MB next time.

Remember to string both crosses and mains at the same tension.

Does the climate control/moisture control/insulated compartment really do that much if you just take your bag from the house to the courts? I like the Yonex bags also, but have been hesitant for the same reason.

Meghan,

that is the one I bought, was on special locally for 45 plus tax, I got the six pack.

Look the shirt below, beautiful if you have Vcore racquets, 308 red, you better get this shirt as well.

I don't know the player but it looks like he is sponsored by Yonex, it's from AO 2011.

They are selling the 9 rckt bag for a similar amount in the uk, on offer.....how have you found the bag? Good quality, sturdy, waterproof?

The shoes are deffo worth a look. I love my head shoes but they are very very heavy. As for the shirt I'm not so sure, I kinda prefer blue.

I'm a poly user so climate control its less important but the silver lining is completely waterproof. It rained thro my volkl bag the other day and all my rackets needed new overgrips.

The bag is nicer in person, it is insulated, well manufactured, somewhat heavy and well cushioned, good protection to the equipment, I like it, I will stick with this one for sometime, until it gets old and beaten up.

I can't find that shirt, but I got 2 polo shirts from Yonex the green one and the white for Wimbledon, both this year's collection, I tell you man, this is some serious quality shirts, I wore one yesterday and it is: (using Donald Trump's words) very, very, very comfortable, as much as I sweat on 80F yesterday, I wasn't soaked and sticky.

Now I'm waiting for the Asics green shirt to come to US.

Yes and no, it really depends on where you are and what you're using the bag for. If you strictly go house to court to car, no, it doesn't make too much of a difference but if you play in locales that are very humid (Florida) or on courts that aren't properly ventilated, the insulation is great to have. Rainy days are another reason you might want to use the insulated bag over a non-insulated one. Temperature of bags sitting in the car come in to play the hotter it becomes. Airplanes are another doozy-- so many temp changes Again, all depends on what you use it for.

You'll notice that the humidity issue will come into play with gut strings while the temperature issue will be more prevalent with poly.

This is such a great no nonsense racket. Actually found myself missing a couple of shots today as I was laughing so hard.....running down the impossible and getting it back with substance only to fluff the easy put away as I was giggling to myself

My Becker makes me do stuff that Im ok at, like drop shots, dinks, the beautiful game, the VC makes me just do what Im good at and thats hit the corners and follow in if necessary. Its directional control is excellent, especially hitting DTL from your opponents crosscourt shot.

I concentrated today and made myself play the right shots against my opponent, first set 6-0, second was closer, I was experimenting a bit, lost some concentration, remained on serve and I won the breaker. Another thing is the depth control, I know this has a number of differing factors but it is quite remarkable how good my length is.

Really enjoyed today, some great rallies, hard hitting, side to side stuff. Nearly had a four ace game again, 3 aces and one unreturnable.....happy days!!

Ok bag arrived, very nice, compact but spacious, only complaint is the red in the picture above is a little light reflective and has a pinky hue.
Where my volkl excels is in the detail, racket dividers, phone and money pockets, drinks compartment, rubber things on the ends of zips etc. The yonex tho looks great, sturdy, feels smaller but has the same roomy compartments.
Its a good bag I'm happy with it, oh the yonex sign is silver not white so that goes with my sticks.

Oh no the fashion police are after me heeeeelp......:)
