Was about to post a golden set thread!

However, dunno why you're making it about pay. I guess I will make a thread dedicated to the tennis and nothing more...

It is one thing to lose in the 1R or 2R at Wimbledon after a successful run at FO, but totally exposes the flaky and hopeless standard of WTA if a French open finalist loses a golden set to a really lower ranked player .

Will any men, leave alone french open mens finalist, lose a golden set anymore ?

Last years French Open winner Rafael Nadal won only 4 points in the 3rd set of the Tokyo final against Murray, so he wasn't too far off.

I can't imagine Federer won too many in his 3rd set French Open Final disaster in 2008 either.

Please Hood Man, some of us are trying to forget the 08 FO Final :)

Bill Scanlon got a golden set in the 80s, so it's happened on the men's tour as well. Errani only made one error in the golden set, so it was just Shvedova zoning

Didn't Rosol hand out a golden set to Señor Vamos in the fifth set. i barely saw PokerPro getting his racket on the ball on most points.

Not sure about golden set, but it was definitely a golden moment for Rosol when he won that 5th set! :)
