He is everything that America wishes they had.

But seriously, David Goffin has shown some serious potential at such a young age and pretty consistently so far as well. 4R FO and then 3rd at Wimbledon, for the very first year of playing at grand slams is very impressive. I expect good things for the years to come.

He has talent and ability. He may have had a good FO and Wimbledon.....though that could mean nothing in the next few years. Hope he keeps his head straight. I like that he is a *******.....especially wore Federer 2010/11 costume during his matches. Like his flat forehand.

Tomic had a good showing last year. Bue this year he didn't do well except in Australian.

And he falled to Fed and Fish, which is fully fair.

Not without a fight though, took Federer to 4 sets and Fish only won with a set and a break and then two tie breaks. The Fish match could have gone either way if Goffin managed to take either the second or third tie break.

Indeed, very nice player with great potential. I think he can make top 10 if he keeps developing.

Love David Goffin. Great great potential, and plays a fun, aggressive game.

It's hilarious how a tall guy like me likes all these short players, but their terrier attitudes are fun on the court.

Kinda reminds me of how Raonic showed up on the scene, qualifier that makes a random deep run despite showing very little promise prior. He and Milos I think are around the same age too. Guy's got an awesome agressive game and seems pretty modest, I think he might win his first title later this year at an atp 250 or 500

He definitely has potential, plays aggressively and proved himself in Wimbly that RG wasn't a fluke and justified his wildcard, if he doesn't get direct acceptance at USO he should get another WC. Might watch him play when Fed retires.

His big, agressive game will transition well into the North american hardcourt swing. I have no doubt he'll capitalise on the whopping zero deep runs he made last year around the same time. Plus he has a ton of points up for grabs up till next year's French Open.

I'm in too. I wish him the best. Also I think that he is the secret love child of Princess Diana and Dr. Oz.

The problem with Goffin is he's only 5'9" and 150lbs. His diminutive stature and power deficit isn't going to cut it in today's era.

Goffin is a good player but let me know when he wins consistently and wins some ATP titles because until then, you never know. So many guys are overhyped and nothing comes out of the hype--i.e. Tomic, Dimitrov, Gasquet (when he was younger), and many others. Goffin has a long way to go to prove he can be a top player.
