I don't dislike any of them.

As far as I'm concerned, they all deserve a huge amount of credit for putting the work in, making the best use of their talent, and fighting through the ranks to reach the upper echelons of the game.

The whole '******* / *********' thing on these message boards is propagated by morons.

The only player I dislike from that bunch is Berdych and my favourite is Isner, but only because I've met him a couple of times and he was extremely nice and went out of the way for fans.

Have to agree about the Fed-****/Nad-**** thing, I never knew people had to like one or the other until I joined this forum.

depends. if its about playing style i'd say i dislike djokovic's (too machine after 2011) and nadal's (pretty obvious why). personality wise i think berdych seems like a dbag or something like that

Why do Americans dislike Isner? (At least that's the feeling i get from a few posts). Seems like a nice, quiet guy to me.

Also, are people hating Berdych due to that ONE incident with Magro ? A bunch of folks here dislike Tipsy due to his anti-gay pronouncements.

OP, You should kept the top 3 out of the poll. There's too much dislike due to competition to one's fave. I don't dislike any of these but TIpsy's fist-pumps and glaring at the opponents doesn't exactly come across as nice to me.

the only logical post all other posters have nothing better to do than write hate and love posts about ppl they dont even know

If you had made this poll a year ago i think murray would win the poll but after his wimbly speech and winning olympic gold he has become more popular.

I hope nobody dislikes Delpo, he's such a nice guy.

He's a good lad, I like Tsonga too. As an aside, I really, really want to see Del Potro beat Murray. Strange how I never liked Murray, and was a Del Potro fan, before I found out about an incident between them.

Yes, it is strange isn't it?

Are you refering to the incident at Rome a few years ago during a changeover when Murray asked why Del Potro did not apologise for hitting a ball directly at him and Del Potro replied by having a go at Murray's mum (a big no-no for Andy) and then pulled out of their match a couple of games later (see below)?

Why do people hate Rafa so much??? He's not a bad guy, in fact I think he's a very nice guy. I know he "whines" and "complains" a lot, but at least he's not an assh*le like Berdych.

http://www.inthetramlines.com/2012-articles/january/berdych-booed-off-court-after-controversy.html

Lots of reasons.

5-0 H2H at Roland Garros.
Completed Career Grand Slam at a younger age than Federer.
Was a more successful teenager than Federer.
18-10 overall H2H.
2-0 hard-court slam H2H.
Only king of a slam (7 Roland Garros titles, closest is Borg with 6).
Prevented Federer from winning multiple slams in a row.
Wimbledon 2008 victory which emotionally crushed Federer.
Already ties the record for most Masters 1000 titles and Nadal is 5 years younger than Federer.
Nadal poses a threat to Federer's legacy and has a great chance to surpass him in the slam count and the Masters Shields count.

Nadal is also a more successful baby than Federer.

wow.. i'm surprised Nadal is leading this poll

used to be nadal (few years back) - for gamestyle and in-your-face celebration of UE's - now i got loads of respect for his sheer desire to win

used to be Novak - for quitting matches, then being sooo cocky at times - now, he stopped doing both and don't have any issue now

used to be Murray - for his boring defensive style of game and fake injuries when he is losing - now, his new aggressive style and less drama (he still did it at FO) is making him followable

It was found out afterwards that Del Potro said "you british and your manners" referring to that british tendency to apologise all the time, but Murray thought he said his mother. It was cleared up afterwards and they had a laugh about it. You can probably find the video of it on youtube.

Surprised to see so many people dislike people they really know very little about. But I'd have to say in terms of tennis, I find little to like about John Isner's game. Maybe question should have been worded differently.

Murray should be the most hated.
It's a disgrace. An outrage no less.

I dislike Isners game, very dull.

Dislike Rafa's fakeness, but fun to watch, and a generally good guy.

I like Federer the best.

Ferrer is someone I respect a lot, cant explain but I always seem to root for him now.

Dont really dislike anybody peronally there.

That too, thanks.

Surprised after those mentally destroying events....Federer went on to win 4 more slams.

Shows why he is The "Maestro" Federer. Never gives up after to losing to an inferior players. Unlike McEnroe who gave him since he lost to pusher gilbert.

As much as Rafael Nadal is not one of my preferred players nothing can top my dislike for Berdych.

Something just rubs me the wrong way about Tomas, cant put my finger on it.

Rafa is also a fan favourite. He has more fans than any other player aside from Federer. At least if 10 million likes on Facebook are any indicator.

I'd say that's more conclusive than a poll on a forum though.

Don't dislike any of them, but the one I usually root against is Djokovic. Though maybe I should've voted for Berdych, since he is probably the least interesting player on the list.

Yup, 11177651 likes on Facebook, most hated player ever. 2-1 H2H on grass, and 6-5 on hard-courts? Nobody cares. It's all about the slams. 8-2 in slams. 6-2 in slam finals. 18-10 overall. The only relevant H2H you mentioned was 2-1 on grass, and even that is pathetic given that Nadal had barely any match experience playing on grass on the ATP circuit (far less than Federer). I also like how you ignored the clay-court H2H, as if that should magically be removed because we all know how pathetic Federer is against Nadal on clay. Slowly but surely, Nadal will recover and it's going to hurt so much when he finally gets past Federer. Then where will Federer be? Lots of boring records, but underperformed when it counted; won't have the slam record, won't have the Masters 1000 titles record, will have a losing H2H against everyone else in the top 4.

Yep, hide behind the smilies. Nadal has 5 years to win 6 slams just to TIE Federer. Pretty soon it'll be 17 < 18. Imagine how bad that's going to look, with all those depressing head-to-head records.

Losing H2H against Nadal.
Losing H2H against Murray.
Has lot 6 of 9 previous matches against Djokovic.

Sounds like the perfect ingredients to make a 'dominante' number 1.
