One thing I've noticed that really helps now especially since I'm using a 2 handed backhand again is putting wrist bands on both arms. Bring 6 or 8 and change them out every few games and you should be OK. I also change my grip before almost every match in the summer.

I went full on Mikeler and got the Yonex supergrap (anniversary edition so a 3 pack comes with 4 - scooore) and a pack of Gamma double wide wristbands. I hope these babies last a little while because the price is right.

The local store on I-drive has the best deal on those Gamma double wides. I think I have 12 wrist bands now. Did you get the white supergrap?

In the real world where I reside and Mik visits occasionally, I will sometimes regrip once during match. Mik changed his grip once during a changeover and I fell asleep. He's such an engineer he was using a ruler to make sure he had equal overlap each time he wrapped around.

Haha. Very funny. I got an idea. Have all your racquets re-gripped before the match. God knows, you are going to pop a string - and then you re-grip.

My favorite Wicked move is he regrips a racket and then decides 1 game later to switch rackets. The guy bounces the ball 20 times before each serve but then has the fastest service motion in the Wild West!

Hey when the tensions gone, it's gone. Federer pulled out a new racket yesterday with one game to go. I once regripped a racket during mikeler's service ball toss.

oops...was preoccupied during Isaac. however could get surf on Atlantic side this week from Leslie. :)

btw - good call on Isaac going up the gulf and relieving some of the drought stricken states. speaking of Isaac -another hypocritical statement coming out of LA gov.

Jeff and I had a GOATy comeback today. Came back from 5-1 down and then 2-6 down in the breaker with 6 straight points. We had no business winning that set.

I just received 3 sets of the new Genesis Thunder Blast now in natural color. Anybody interested in playtesting it? Might be good for somebody coming back from a wrist injury...

I was just looking at the red clay court in Germany. What is that building in the rear? Looks like public housing I would expect to see during the cold war.

That facility was in East Berlin. It's a pretty amazing city in that you can see the results of capitalism side by side with communism.

Didn't scan the thread so I'm not sure if this is old news...Disney Wide World of Sports tennis complex is the site for a tourney hosted by USTA & FSU tennis. The tourney will be held Nov. 2-4 and will feature many NCAA players from top 1-A teams and top USTA junior players.

I'm not sure of any link to get more details...I first heard of it from the FSU athletics website.

My wife has a friend who grew up in East Germany and even though nobody had money, she did feel like there was always a safety net. When the wall came down, the East Germans all felt very unsafe now having to compete for jobs. It's a really interesting story to me no matter where you sit on the political spectrum.

Whats up guys i've been gone for awhile but looking in getting back into tennis. I'm using the dunlop 500 bio now but looking for a set dtring been looking up an came across Golden Set and they have a combo going on for $88.12 for two reels Snake-Bite(Co-polyester mono-filament with a twisted heptagonal cross-section) + Classic Reel(Co-polymer core, multi-filament wrap (solid core, nylon based) has anyone heard about these or tried them? the price is what got me interested. Thanks for any input
