Um...This is a post your Tennis shoes thread.
I play tennis in all these I do not collect these.
I buy 4 or 5 pairs of sneakers from outlet stores every labor day weekend to have for each (fall/Spring Season)
I run 5k's in these/play tennis/go to the gym etc...
While I do like a good looking sneaker I in no way have a collection. My $$$ goes more to photography gear/travel.

Air Maxes are running shoes. No one said you can't collect running shoes in general. I was referring to newer Nike running shoes which haven't been too appealing. There's no reason one can't wear or buy newer Nike's but to "collect" them and call yourself a "sneakerhead" is just kind of weird. That was why I asked the question respectfully out of genuine interest to understand his ways.
Read above reply to Anhuynh. I'm sure we can all come to an understading about what I meant.

Awesome stuff is going on there.
Those are the new Nike SB (skateboarding) challenge courts and the retro air trainer from a few years back. Had a chance to buy those trainers a while back for next to nothing and passed
I need those challenge courts!

Thank you. And it's actually better too because the stock laces were too short for me (45"), these white ones are 56" and fits just right

I had a pair of those exact shoes over this summer! They were AMAZING! I moved very well and comfortably in them, until they wore out in like 3.5 months and sent them in for a replacement pair of barricade 7's!

Thanks. I know how you feel. All those pics in the RF287 thread pushed me over the edge. I've spent a lot of money so now I have to cool down my shoe buying for a while.

Yeah I hate giving my money to those guys but they have come down a lot. I was bidding 1000+ and got outbid on five different pairs. I almost gave up then suddenly I got one for 800. There are still a load on there going unsold, you might get lucky.

Whether a real fan lets them sit in a box or someone else does it really is stupid in my opinion. Wish people would just wear them to play tennis in like they were designed for.

^^^ I hope he doesnt... 300 bucks for a pair of tennis shoes with no warranty?? if they were mass production shoes then fine, playing in them is nbd, but when only 287 of them are made, I'll be heart broken to see one on someone's feet on teh court..

Probably not, I have other pairs of Vapor 9's for that (not that I play much these days anyway). I got them as a collectible.
If I do wear them on court, I'll post pix in this thread.

If you have enough shoes in rotation your not going to tear them up for a very long time. Unless of course your a serious toe dragger, even then it would take a while. If I had enough money to waste $800 on one pair of kicks I certainly wouldn't be worried about taking them for a spin every once in a while. Different strokes I guess.
