New Dunlop line???

But I cracked up when I read the part about the self -lubricating grommets and how they are modeled after snake skin. Did anybody else equate that with Dunlop essentially saying they are selling snake oil?:)

As funny as it sounds MoS2 is Molybdenum disulfide which is used as a solid lubricant (due to its low friction).

Still I think it would be much better if Dunlop went with the tech explanation and not try to connect this feature to snakes.

This might be one of the new line of bags that accompany the racquets.

This stinks if the new F 3.0T  have a thicker beam that's awful I hope you are wrong about the beam thickness because is the same of the 300 replacement

They should resurrect the Revelation Pro Tour, add some meaningful modern tech and be done with it.[/QUOTE]

Agreed, the Revelation Tour Two I have is a lovely frame. Solid lump of graphite (12.5oz strung) 95" head but surprisingly large sweet spot.

With all the variables it is impossible, at least for me, to say.

When I get the 3.0 I'll post about it.
My plans are to test drive the following:
M 2.0 (Bio 200 16x19)
M 3.0 (Bio 300)
F 3.0 Tour (Bio 300 Tour)
F 5.0 Tour (Bio 500 Tour)

I am assuming that the M 2.0 will be 95 sq. in with 18x20 model along with the 16x19?

Don't know if there are pictures of the new Dunlop series circulating around the boards yet, but I got to meet with a Dunlop rep yesterday who showed me the new M 3.0 and F 3.0T, and she was kind enough to let me take a few pictures... This seemed to be the most appropriate place to share what I saw!

Second photo shows the new grommets. She also mentioned something about the new series featuring a revised head shape, perhaps more oval? I did not get to take a better overall picture of the racquets, and I am not a Dunlop expert, so maybe you guys can decipher it. :)

Those are very good looking rackets, especially the silver hoop of the tour. Dunlop has never slacked in the looks department thats for sure. Always some of the best paintjobs.

Now I have a dilemma because I really like how the F3 tour or whatever it's called looks but it still has biomimetic and I didn't like the biomimetic 300 tour.

Biomimetic just means mimicking nature. I can almost guarantee it will feel different from the biomimetic 300 tour. It's a completely different mold and beam width, those alone are huge.

Yes. The line has a new head shape. It is called squoval in the Slazenger models however it is the same since Dunlop and Slazenger belongs to the same party.

The Slazenger Aero V98 rackets are out of the same mold as the 3.0s.

But back on track. The headshape is different however not the same as truoval featured on the 400 series, additionally the 3.0 have a completely new frame geometry.

Oh cool. Looking at the specs this is interesting. Is the Slazenger Aero V98 Tour basically a stiffer version of the Dunlop F3.0T?

Sorry if I missed this somewhere in the thread... will the new 300 have the same mold as the old 300 or a completely new head shape/beam? These specs look good to me. Thanks.

Dunlopbuzz.com only shows updates to the 3.0, 6.0 and 8.0 lines for now. I know for sure the Max200G has at least another year left. I'm not sure what their plans are for the 200, 400 and 500 lines....

400 stays because it's been introduced just recently.

The 200 and 500s are changed. F2.0, M2.0, F5.0, M5.0 etc. The 5.0s have a completely new frame geometry e.g. pentagonal throat cross-section.
Some 200s are also present in the mini classic line with the old headshape.

I have pictures of the new 2.0 tour but I have no clue how to upload here.
It is not a box beam anymore but round like a Wilson sixone.

I do not know how I do not have this photo page or however it works, but if you drop your email address maybe you know how to do it? I made 2 pictures. Frame looked very nice and felt very ok, tad more SW than the bio 200, more like the older 200 versions

What is the 200 Tour equivalent in the new line? (what is it called?) And will it be available at the same time with the other racquets, or some months later as it was before?

The 2.0 line will not be available at the same time as the others. It should come out a little bit later in the winter, like around January/February.
