What made you choose this combination in the first place?

a sore wrist and trying to save money on the crosses. strung the racket at 60 because it's a 107 frame 18x20.

the result was a mushy, no power, dead combo

any suggestions?

thank you

Try full gut strung a bit tighter. It will be softer on your wrist and last longer than a hybrid of gut/multi.

Ashaway Zyex mono isn't much stiffer than gut, according to TW. It feels and plays like a very soft poly.

I have a set of that and I'm going to try it some time after my shoulder completely heals. However, I heard that despite the stiffness rating, it feels as stiff as poly.

With all due respect, this thread is so vague that it's not really informative about anything. Racquet, original strings, playing style, etc.
