Well a Wimbledon = 2000 pts
AO + WTF = 3500 pts

It cannot be any more obvious. I know W is the most prestigious major, but it is only marginally more than the other 3.

I'd take Wimbledon, I'd want to win in front of a home crowd (assuming the WTF does move on after next year).

Tennis is Wimbledon. Wimbledon is Tennis. This is from non-tennis watchers. That all they can associate with tennis as a sport.

Wimbledon.....
Australia to far away to travel.....

If Wimbledon is worth 1.5 slams, then Federer has 20.5 slams and Nadal 12. That doesn't make sense. I go with AO and WTF.

I'd take Wimbledon. But only just as in my eyes Wimbly is losing its prestige. If you asked me the same question 20 years ago I'd take Wimbledon without a blink.

It not about prestige. It about how you want to win.
Grinding tennis(Aussie) or Aggresive Baselining/Netplay(Wimbledon).

Even the grinders Novak and Nadal were aggresive on the grass considerably compared to Hardcourts/Clay.

Forget WTF....that a bonus for playing so ugly at the Aussie.

Wimbledon! Most iconic tournament.

Grass season is my favourite part of every tennis season, shame it's so short, though it does make it extra special.

Wimbledon or, an Aussie Open and a "WTF!" ??

Wimbledon.

Or better yet, ask Ivan Lendl, Mats Willander and Jim Courier (all former world #1's) as well as Tim Henman and Patrick Rafter.

C'mon now. If you only win 1 slam around here, you are considered a 1-slam wonder. If you can win a slam and WTF, then you can be called best player f the year. The choice is obvious!

In all seriousness though, Wimbledon is known as the most prestigious tournament, but considering the amount of people here that rate the WTF highly (I don't), I'd take AO + WTF any day because you win 2 tournaments and you get substantially more prize money.

There's more to a Tennis career than being acknowledged as the best on TT. Wimbledon is the biggest prize in Tennis. Always has been, always will be. There's debate about which the second most prestigious tournament is but never about the first. That's because it's obvious. Any player would prefer to win a Wimbledon over any other tournament in the world (unless they're going for a Career Grand Slam or something). Considering all that, I think it's not a bad question at all. And looks like Wimbledon is winning the poll.

Yep, but you're asking the people here on TT. We have not worked day in day out to be a professional to know whether a Wimbledon or AO+WTF would better define one's own career. I'm a tennis fan only, and I don't see a huge difference between Wimbledon and another slam. A slam is a slam to me :)

That's not a bad way to look at things, either. I'm just offering my perspective :)

Wimbledon, simple because most players dreams of winning Wimbledon and only a few (in recent years) get the chance to win it
